Sadly leaving my room in Pitshanger after nearly four years!
This is one of three bedrooms in a lovely and artsy three bedroom flat. The bedroom is pretty compact although has a double bed, desk and chair and shelving unit. It also has a built in wardrobe just outside the room which is very spacious. Due to the size of the room I wouldn’t recommend for working from home.
The room has a big window which overlooks the lane, making it full of natural light and the perfect spot for sunset watching
Bathroom and kitchen are shared. The bathroom is spacious and has a bath! The kitchen comes with all the utensils so you don’t have to worry about buying anything extra. Kitchen has a south-facing balcony with a little dining table and plants which is just perfect in summer
The living room has a dining area, two big sofas and an armchair for dinners and movie nights which we like to organise from time to time.
You’ll be sharing the flat with Aga and Paula, 2 lovely girls who enjoy having dinner, a glass of wine or watching a movie together when not busy with work/life 🍸
Both are creative, Aga likes to knit and paint (bonus point all the paintings in the house!) and Paula is into film and sports. They’re both very easy people to live with, they’ll just expect you to treat the flat as your home and put an effort into keeping it a clean and tidy space.
Pitshanger is the loveliest area with cute little shops, cafés and pubs. Pitshanger park and Scotch common are just around the corner so you have some nice green space to go for a walk in and there's also the benefit of living within walking distance (15-20min) to Ealing Broadway (or 5min by bus) which has more mainstream shops, restaurants and a national rail station with three underground lines (incl Elizabeth line!!).
The rent is probably the cheapest you can find - £420 per month! Bills vary, lately have come to around £125 a month (council tax band D). We have a very responsive and helpful landlord who lives around the corner but the contract/rent payment is managed by an agency which is also located on the lane. They will require references from you.
Lastly, I don’t have a fixed move in date into my new place so the move in date is flexible - preferably between the 2nd and 3rd weekend of June but could be sooner.
No pets are allowed in the flat unfortunately.
