Cosy loft double room in East Acton

Furnished and cosy double room available in a chill flat in East Acton.

🛏️ The room

This is a loft room located on the second floor of the flat. It feels more private and you’ll have a small hallway and staircase to use as your own space as well.

It is airy and bright, with two roof windows facing both north and south, fitted with colourful blinds. There is a third window at the bottom of the stairs. Perfect for someone who enjoys a bit of fresh air in the room and natural light!

The room is furnished with bed and mattress, bedside table, a folding lounge chair, and some classic IKEA eket cubes. There is underbed storage for clothes and a small set of drawers. There can be more storage spaces available in the living room and space for a suitcase, if needed.

**Please note that: because of the slanting ceiling and a custom sized bed, the room is not suitable anyone over the height of 5 ft 5, or 165cm. Because of the space, the bed and mattress is custom made to the size of 180cm x 135cm, so it is a shorter double.**

🛋️ The flat and the general vibe of things

The flat is on the first floor (in the middle) of a converted house with two other flats (ground floor and top floor). The neighbours are very friendly and helpful, and overall it’s a super chill house.

There is a shared bathroom with a shower. A well-equipped kitchen with all the classic stuff, dishwasher, washing machine, a rice cooker, but no toaster as of now.

You’re invited to also enjoy my cosy living room space, where there are books on the shelf, a collection of cds and a TV for movie nights. I also use the living room to practice yoga, it’s not the biggest space but you’re welcome to use it too for home workouts.

It’s not always a quiet flat as I do enjoy listening to music and sometimes singing along, but it is always a chill and relaxed space.

The flat is still a work in progress, so things might be added or changed as I figure it out. Happy to take suggestions and make adjustments if it will make you feel more at ease.

Super easy to get to central london.

🚶‍♂️6mins - East Acton station (Central line)

🚶‍♂️ 20mins - Acton Main Line station (Elizabeth line) - easy access to Heathrow

🚌 plenty of local buses, going to chiswick, acton central, west London, paddington and oxford circus.

There is a Lidl and an Iceland within 10mins walk and lots of international shops with fresh fruits and veggies. Within 30 mins walk there are Tescos and Chinese supermarkets - Uxbridge road where there are others shops and cafes.

The flat is surrounded by greenery and is directly opposite a small neighbourhood park with a playground. It is 5 mins walk to the nearest entrance to Wormwood Scrubs for some time in nature.

📁 The Financials & Logistics:

Rent is £950 pcm, all bills included.

Deposit is £1050 to be put into a deposit protection scheme and refunded at the end.

You'll be staying as a lodger with minimum term of 8 months. Unfortunately I won’t be able to offer the room beyond 1 year.

Room is available from 7th September.

⭐About me and you:

I am a fun-loving, creative person trying to make the most of living in london in my early 20s. Ex-barista, not-so-recent psychology graduate. I love walking, yoga, cooking, reading, going to the gallery and seeing live music. I am sociable but also value my introverted recharging time. I occasionally like to host but you are always invited. Apart from english, I speak Mandarin fluently and am also exploring some other languages.

I’m looking for someone generally clean, relaxed and flexible. I think you’d love the flat if you are creative, enjoy art, music and other cool things. It’s important for me that our values are aligned, so you should be open-minded and care about being sustainable when possible. Other than that, I’d love it if you’re someone I could share the occasionally sweet treat with! :)

Main criteria: female, 20s, non-smoker, ideally not a drinker, under 5ft5/165cm (see above).
