FEMALES PREFERRED! ❤️
Hello! We are a lovely, friendly household of four people: two males and two females!
Unfortunately, one of our flatmates will be leaving us at the end of January/beginning of February next year, after living with us for five years.
We are also expecting another flatmate to move out early next year, although the dates haven’t been confirmed yet. This means that we will eventually have two rooms available.
We want to start looking for the right people now so that we have plenty of time to find flatmates who are a good fit. Having a good relationship with the people we live with is really, really important to us!
A little bit about us
I am a 26-year-old female student who also works part-time with children. I’ve been living in this flat for six years. The other flatmate who will be staying is a 35-year-old male who has lived here for two years and works in hospitality.
We are both really friendly, easy-going and sociable, and we love spending time with our flatmates. We enjoy movie nights, sharing meals whenever possible, cooking together and going out for activities.
It’s really important to us to find people we can genuinely connect with and who will complement the lovely, family-like atmosphere we’ve always had in our home.
Cleaning and keeping the house tidy
We don’t have a cleaner, so we have a cleaning rota that we take very seriously. We usually clean two at a time, meaning everyone takes their turn twice a month.
We expect everyone to respect the rota and not skip their cleaning duties, although we are very flexible when it comes to arranging dates and swapping turns when needed.
Something else that’s important to us is that we don’t rely solely on the cleaning rota to keep the house clean. We all do our bit throughout the week to maintain a nice and tidy environment. This includes keeping the dishes clean, sweeping the floors whenever needed, giving them a quick mop if necessary, wiping down the toilet (as we only have one bathroom that we all share), and generally looking after the communal spaces.
Nothing too intense or deep-cleaning-related during the week, just basic everyday cleaning to keep the house nice for everyone!
This is probably the one thing we really pay attention to. Other than that, we are super, super relaxed!
We often have guests over, whether friends or family, and you are more than welcome to do the same. We love having nice people around!
In fact, most of our guests are former flatmates who have become some of our closest friends. That’s probably a good example of the kind of relationships we enjoy having with the people we live with!
A little bit about the flat
The flat has four bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and a small living room. We also have a HUGE terrace where, during the summer, we love having barbecues, small summer parties and movie nights using our projector and screen!
We also have some planters that are desperately in need of a bit of greenery, so anyone with a green thumb is more than welcome to get involved! But, of course, it’s no big deal if gardening isn’t your thing.
As mentioned, we are very relaxed about most things. You can put your washing machine on at night, dry your hair late in the evening and generally go about your routine without worrying about making a little noise.
If you smoke, that’s fine too, as long as it’s cigarettes only and you smoke outside.
One last thing: we aren’t really into partying or wild lifestyles anymore. We’ve been through that stage and now prefer a more relaxed, easy-going atmosphere at home rather than living with someone who enjoys partying regularly.
And one more thing… our landlord!
We also have the most amazing landlord ever! We genuinely appreciate him, and we’re sure you will too. He’s always reachable, incredibly helpful and happy to assist with any situation or anything we might need around the house. It’s honestly such a bonus to have a landlord like him!
Bills and extras
All bills and Wi-Fi are included in the rent.
There is no TV licence, but we share Netflix, HBO and Disney+ subscriptions if you’d like to join in!
Location and transport
East Acton Station (Central Line) is just a 5-minute walk away, making it really easy to get around London. There are also plenty of bus routes nearby, with quick and convenient connections to Hammersmith, Chiswick and Central London.
Getting to know you
We would REALLY love to hear from you and find out a little bit about yourself!
We are very keen on arranging video calls so we can get to know each other before organising an in-person viewing. During the video call, we’ll also be happy to give you a virtual tour of the flat!
We are starting the search early because finding the right flatmates is genuinely the most important thing for us. We aren’t just looking for people to share the rent with; we would love to find people who will feel at home here and become part of our little household.
Looking forward to hearing from you! ❤️
