Beautiful super-king double room in an apartment overlooking Peckham Rye Park - close to Lordship Lane, East Dulwich and Peckham Rye highstreet.
I have owned and lived in the apartment since 2013 but now normally only use it a few days per week. It has a homely feel, on the first floor of a Victorian building with high ceilings and plenty of light. There are great views of the park and access to a quiet, shared garden at the rear.
The apartment is fully furnished with a good sized and fully equipped kitchen, separate living room / diner and bathroom with shower / bath. The bedroom is the primary of the two, with a king-sized double bed and also clothes hanging space, chest of drawers and two side tables (which can be removed if not needed). The room could also fit a desk and chair if required.
The location is on Peckham Rye which borders the park and is 5 minutes walk to Lordship Lane, East Dulwich or 7 minutes to Peckham Rye highstreet (Rye Lane), with both areas being full of interesting shops, bars and restaurants. Transport is very good from Peckham Rye or East Dulwich station, frequent trains (Southern, South Eastern or Thames Link) into London Bridge, Blackfriars (10 minutes), Victoria (13 minutes) as well as the Overground to either Clapham Junction or Canary Wharf. Peckham Rye station is approximately 10-12 minutes walk or 5 minutes by bus.
There is a bus stop outside with very frequent busses to the station and central London including 12, 63, 197, 363. Parking is free with no permits required both on Peckham Rye and the square behind. A bike can be kept on the landing or in a nearby bike store. There is fast Virgin broadband included
The apartment would suit a single working professional who is tidy, considerate and easy-going. I am normally only there at most from Monday to Thursday evenings, and work in central London during the day, so you would typically have the place to yourself for most of the time including weekends. I am male in my early 40s. It would be nice to share with someone who is friendly, tidy and easy going / relaxed. I often work late unfortunately but enjoy a movie and glass of wine when I do get time out. Occasionally my partner also stays with our small Italian greyhound Claire, for 3 nights, approximately once a month
