Double room in lovely 3-bedroom flat with balcony

Hello!

We’re looking for someone to join us in our flat, as our flatmate, Diogo, is leaving us to live his dream (live with his partner!).

We’re two professionals in our 30s. I (Mariana) am from Brazil and work in research, and Jamil is an architect from Lebanon. We became close friends after living together for two years, and we’re hoping to find someone who matches the homely vibe we’ve built! You’ll also be living with two lovely cats, Amelia and Amora. Much like ourselves, they’re very friendly but like to keep to themselves too, particularly after a busy day (naps are also exhausting!).

Ideally, you’ll also be in your 30s, and be clean and tidy. Both of us work a lot, so silence is also important to us. We often have dinner together or catch up on our lovely balcony, where we watch the trees over summer and the park the rest of the year, so there’s greenery all year round :)

About the bedroom: it comes with a three-door wardrobe, a double bed, two bedside tables, and a chest of drawers. There’s plenty of space for a desk, should you have or want one.

The flat is in East Village, originally built to be the Olympic Village. This means that the building is quite new, and maintenance is done by the company that runs the area (Get Living). They are usually very quick with any requests we have. We’ve got all the appliances, underfloor heating, and double-glazed windows. It’s overall super quiet, as it’s on a pedestrian street, and the restaurants/pub downstairs close at 10pm.

East Village is a great area, very well connected to the rest of London (DLR/trains from Stratford International are a 4-minute walk away, and the Overground, Tube, and trains from Stratford station are 12 minutes away). Westfield is 6 minutes away, and buzzing Hackney Wick is just 15 minutes away! Hackney Marshes and the Olympic Park are also super close.
