Hi everyone, unfortunately my flatmate is moving out and we are looking to replace him in our 3 bed flat. I’ve lived here for 2 years now and love the place, and Serwan has been here for even longer.
The Flat and Location:
The flat is a new build in East Village, just by the Olympic park. Maintenance is usually handled through the letting company, Get Living, and we haven't had any issues yet.
The best thing about the location is the convenience of having Westfield close by, as well as a local Sainsbury's and convenience stores. There are plenty of coffee shops too if you ever work from home and need a change of scenery.
The property is very well connected with almost all the tube lines you could need. Closest transport links are:
- Stratford tube station: 10 min walk
- Stratford International DLR station: 4 min walk
- Stratford International rail station: 4 min walk (regular trains to Kings Cross that reach there within 7 mins)
The open plan kitchen and living room are shared between us and it’s quite spacious. We do have a TV and a bunch of streaming subscriptions. The kitchen comes with the usual amenities (dishwasher, oven, fridge/freezer etc). The flat also has a washer/dryer. We also have a balcony/patio where you can store a bike or sit outside during the summer.
The Room:
The room available is a spacious en-suite bedroom (with air-conditioning built in). Serwan and I share the other bathroom. There’s a double bed that comes with the room, a large wardrobe, and some drawers and nightstands. There’s also room for a desk and chair if you need to work from home. There’s underfloor heating for the winter. Your window looks out to the courtyard garden.
The flatmates:
Serwan is an architect working in central London. He is passionate about anything creative; hiking, cycling, exploring new places, photography, filmmaking and cooking.
I am a data analyst also working in central London. I am regularly playing badminton and going climbing. Also love photography and just getting out and seeing new places.
We both really enjoy getting to know people and having a good conversation, while also respecting each other’s personal space and privacy! Always up for trying new things, having friends over from time to time for flat meals and generally just good vibes, but also respectful of others space. We get on well with each other so want to have the same connection with the new flatmates too. We’re both quite tidy and make sure that the common areas of the flat are nice and neat.
Other Bits:
The flat will be becoming available from the 23rd September (potential to make this a week or two earlier).
Council Tax Property Band: D
Monthly bills stand at around £130-200/month.
We are planning on doing viewings the week of the 24th if possible. The outgoing flatmate (Karan) also has this advertised.
Please get in touch if interested with a short message about yourself. :)
