Spare room in spacious East Village flat

The room

We are three housemates (two women, one man) who live in a beautiful and spacious home. Our flatmate is moving out, so we have a room to let. The house stretches across three floors, and your bedroom will be on the top floor with full-length windows looking out onto the courtyard. You will share the bathroom with 1 other person.

We have a fully fitted kitchen with a wide range of utilities (although we're losing a coffee machine with our flatmate leaving, so there's room for more!). There is a large communal area where we like to hang out, have dinners, and sometimes watch TV/a film together. We have lots of plants, including on the terrace outside - you'd be very welcome to contribute to the growing (!) collection.

We are blessed with lots of storage, including for bikes. We also have a communal study area where we like to do work, read, game, or have a morning coffee/tea.

As for us, we like a chat at the end of the day (or sometimes during the day if working from home!) and the occasional meal together, but we also give each other space to do our own thing. Big fans of board games so if you have any to add to our collection maybe we can bump you up the list...

Bills and cleaner (usually once every two weeks) are included in the price listed.

Transport:
Seven minute walk from the well connected Stratford Station and five minute walk from Stratford international which will get you to Kings Cross in less than ten minutes and to city airport in twenty.

Local Amenities:
We have the Westfield shopping centre minutes away from our door and all that the Olympic Park has to offer. There is a gym and a local Sainsbury's three minutes walk away. East Village has loads of small cafes that we like to visit - we can share our recommendations! Hackney Canals are a fifteen minute walk away as well.

A little about us:
We enjoy hanging out together, cooking, ordering takeaway, and playing the occasional board game. We are currently an LGBTQ household but anyone is welcome to apply.

We are looking to do viewings 29th October-4th November and will make a decision by Sunday 8th November. Our letting agency need the new flatmate confirmed by 15th November so that they can do the standard referencing checks and draw up the new contract in advance of the move-in date of 15th December. The move-in date may be sooner if our flatmate finds a place sooner and that works for you - please let us know your timescales in your message. Currently there is no deposit but we're waiting for confirmation from the letting agency that this will be the case for the new tenancy going forward - we'll update this ad/let you know asap if that changes.
