I’m looking for a third woman to complete my all women, 3 lodger household, in my family home.
This spacious, light, furnished double bedroom - offered for SINGLE occupancy - will be available from 1 June 2026.
We are a friendly, creative household and have enjoyed having 3 lodgers share the space with us and our 2 cats, over several years.
Although it is a family home, the 'kids' are all grown up. So, living here will suit you if you want to live independently, but also like the idea of somewhere that feels like a home, with other young adults around.
About the ROOM:
The room overlooks our large, mature garden.
It is furnished with:
- a comfortable and stylish KING sized bed, with under-bed storage
- bedside table
- full length mirror
There is further storage in the form of:
- a vintage hanging wardrobe, with two further drawers
- a chest of drawers with triple mirror
- shelving.
All rooms in the house boast a fireplace!
Bathroom facilities:
You would have use of a large bathroom, situated directly above the bedroom. This has a claw foot bath with in-bath shower attachment. THIS IS FOR BATHS AND SIT DOWN SHOWERING ONLY.
The bath is shared with one other lodger, who lives in the room directly above the bathroom. The bathroom also has: a sink, toilet, shelving unit for toiletries (with additional space in the drawers of the towel cupboard) and several laundry lines. We also have a rotary line in the garden for drying clothes on sunny days.
Our lodgers have the use of our well equipped and huge double kitchen, with large farmhouse table facing out to the 100 foot garden. This is the main communal area and where we tend to hang out, if spending time together.
Each lodger has their own space in the fridge, shelf space in the freezer and some cupboard and vegetable trolley space. The utility room (off the kitchen) has a microwave and washing machine and drier.
What I'm looking for in a lodger:
Our lodgers can choose to be as private or as sociable as they want to be, but we find the best fit for us has been busy, independent professionals/students, who are house trained and take pride in keeping a clean and tidy home. We do also feel it is important to respect each other's privacy.
A bit about the area:
Our beautiful Victorian house is situated in a quiet street near to Finsbury Park and Crouch End, N4. There are good transport links: Finsbury Park is a 5 minute bus ride away in one direction - for easy access to National Rail links and Victoria and Piccadilly lines. Haringey and Crouch Hill overground stations are also 5 mins away.
Stroud Green Road has good food shopping and eating haunts. Crouch End and Muswell Hill offer more interesting shops as well as many cafes and eateries. There are a number of gyms and an indoor swimming pool and lido a 10 minute bus ride away.
Terms of tenancy:
Rent is £890pcm, plus £890 deposit in advance. This includes all utility bills and broadband link.
Minimum stay 6 months. Two months notice of termination of tenancy.
