Are you looking for a fantastic, clean, and well-maintained room in a prime North London location? We have a bright, decent-sized double room available in a lovely Edwardian house. This is not just a room for rent; it is a warm, welcoming home to share.
### The Household & Our Values
We are a quiet, privacy-respecting, LGBTQ+ friendly, and sustainability-conscious household. While we occasionally share a meal, there is no expectation for forced socialising—this is a peaceful sanctuary for those who appreciate a self-contained lifestyle and a clean, orderly home.
Communal matters are decided through open discussion. Transparency and mutual respect for differences are values shared by everyone, including the live-in landlord.
### The Housemates
You will be sharing the house with two friendly and quiet individuals who highly respect personal space and move quietly around the home:
* **Male (30+):** A scientist by profession and a musician after work (plays guitar, keyboard, banjo, and violin). He also enjoys running.
* **Female (Retired):** The live-in landlord, a retired Professor of Gender Studies from Taiwan. She enjoys nature, art, museums, choir singing, and various forms of exercise.
### The Space
* **The Room:** Freshly painted, rear-facing with lovely garden views and plenty of summer sunshine. Features well-sealed windows to keep the winter chill away. Furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, curtains, bedside table, small cabinet/3-tier shelving unit, mirror, and an electric fan. A study desk can be provided upon request.
* **Shared Spaces:** A fully equipped kitchen, a clean shared bathroom, an additional downstairs toilet, a comfortable shared living room, a microwave, a washing machine, and a private rear garden shared with neighbours.
### Location & Transport
Situated in an excellent Zone 2 location:
* **1-minute walk** to Finsbury Park (which feels like our front garden!) for green space and recreation.
* **10-minute walk** through the park to Manor House Tube Station (Piccadilly line). Reach Central London in just 12 minutes
* **12-minute walk** to Finsbury Park Station (Victoria, Piccadilly lines, and Overground). Reach Central London in just 10 minutes.
* **Shopping & Amenities:** Incredibly convenient. Excellent local shops, cafes, and supermarkets are all within easy walking distance, including Tesco, Lidl, Sainsbury’s, and an M&S Food Hall.
