Sun-drenched Double Room in Friendly Houseshare

Our gorgeous housemate is leaving us and we’re grieving, but also very excited to welcome a new girlie/NB person to our lil family of 5 in Haringey/Finsbury Park!

We’re ideally looking for someone around our age (27–34) who wants to become friends with their housemates. A house share with 6 people might sound scary, but I promise you it’s a vibe – plus we have a massive kitchen and a biggish garden, so there’s plenty of space to hang out.

We also have a neighbour’s cat who basically lives with us during the day, so liking cats is essential 🐈

We’re supportive girlies who love sometimes trying new activities on the weekends (cracking out our new barbecue for the first time this weekend!). We also love having brain rot conversations in the living room while watching Love Island, MAFS Australia and Traitors (Celebrity Traitors starts soon and I AM SAT). At the same time, we all appreciate our alone time – some of us can be found weaving or taking daily naps.

THE ROOM

The room is the star! It’s huge, sun-drenched and gets loads of natural light. Other deets include:

• Fully furnished with a double bed, kick-ass desk, wardrobe and bookcase
• Light and airy, located at the front of the house, but still super quiet thanks to our street being chill
• Bathroom close by, shared with just one other housemate

THE HOUSE

• Lovely modern kitchen with double ovens, fridges and sinks, plus a breakfast table surrounded by plants
• Comfy shared living space with bifold doors opening onto our garden, complete with a patio and lots of greenery
• Multiple bathrooms – no morning queues!
• Friendly, clean, respectful and queer-friendly household
• Cleaner comes fortnightly for the communal spaces (included in the rent), while everyone keeps things clean and tidy in between
• Sadly no pets allowed, but luckily there are plenty of cats roaming the garden – including our frequent feline visitor
• Also sadly no room for any more coffee machines… we already have too many 🙃

THE HOUSEMATES

Currently in the house are 5 girls aged 27–34, working in publishing, events, the police, theatre and environmental consulting.

When we can, we love hanging out in the evenings and at weekends – think wine and cheese nights, pub trips, and MAFS Australia/Love Island marathons. We also have plenty of quieter evenings, so there’s a nice balance between social time and personal space, and everyone respects each other’s vibe.

We’re into a bit of everything – football, crafting, salsa, good films, trashy TV, houseplants and, of course… cheese. There’s absolutely no pressure to have the same interests though; we genuinely love hearing about each other’s hobbies and discovering new things.

We all share one very important common interest though: pubs 😏

THE LOCATION

If you haven’t heard of Haringey, you’re missing out on a bit of a hidden gem. Our house is on a quiet residential street just off a bustling main road, with loads of restaurants, shops and cafes nearby – many of which are open late.

We’re also absolutely spoilt for transport options imo:

• 15-minute walk to Manor House (Piccadilly Line)
• Short bus ride to Finsbury Park (Victoria Line)
• 5-minute walk to Harringay Green Lanes Overground
• 5-minute walk to Harringay National Rail
• ⁠Great bus links, including three night bus routes

There’s also loads of local cafes, pubs, restaurants and parks nearby, a large Aldi and Sainsbury’s just down the road, plus lots of independent shops on Green Lanes.
