Not suitable for couples
Housing viewings: Sunday 4th October / Monday 5th evening

I’m looking for a friendly, considerate housemate to share a lovely, spacious two-bedroom flat between Clissold Park and Finsbury Park.

I’m keen to find someone ideally someone who wants to make the flat feel like a calm, comfortable home and sanctuary.

Please feel free to message me with a little bit about yourself, including your work, usual schedule, interests and what you’re looking for in a home.

The flat

The flat is in a lovely period property on a quiet residential street with no through traffic. It’s spread over three levels, so there’s plenty of space and privacy.

* Large, bright south-facing living room
* Spacious, well-equipped kitchen, gas hob
* Washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle
* Two separate bathrooms — your private en-suite upstairs and a second bathroom next to the kitchen, with a bath and shower
* Large roof terrace with table, chairs and sun loungers
* Double glazing and good insulation
* Entrance is on the first floor and there is no lift

The communal areas

The communal areas are furnished with a sofa, dining table, TV and shelving, there is plenty of space for you to bring and add your own furniture and belongings so the space still feels like your own.

I also have general household items, crockery and kitchen equipment that I’m happy to share. There is plenty of cupboard, storage and general space for you to add your own things too.

The Room

A large and spacious, bright and peaceful double bedroom at the top of the house, with its own private en-suite shower room. The room is large enough to comfortably fit a desk, with plenty of storage space.

It overlooks the gardens at the back of the property, giving it a lovely sense of privacy and is quiet and peaceful room.

My current housemate is sadly moving back to Australia, but she will be selling her bed, wardrobe and a few other bits, so there may be an option to buy some of these items if you’re interested.

Location

The flat is around a 12-minute walk from Finsbury Park station, with Arsenal and Manor House stations also nearby.

There are excellent bus into East and Central London, and lots of green space close by, including Clissold Park, Finsbury Park and Woodberry Wetlands.

Stoke Newington and Dalston are also within easy walking distance.

About me

I’m 38, originally from Yorkshire, and have lived in London for around 12 years. I work for the NHS no shift work and work from home one day a week.

I have my own life, friends and hobbies and enjoy yoga, swimming, food, travelling and choir. I’m social, but I also really value having a peaceful home and plenty of quiet time to relax.

For me, home is somewhere to switch off, unwind and feel comfortable.

Who I’m looking for

I’d ideally like to share with a female housemate in her late 30s or older, as I think living with someone at a similar stage of life would work well.

I’m looking for someone who is independent, settled and has their own life and commitments. Someone kind, considerate and respectful of shared spaces would be ideal, and I’d love to live with someone who is also looking for a calm, comfortable home rather than a party house.

It would be lovely to occasionally have dinner together, share a drink or watch something on TV, but there’s absolutely no expectation to socialise all the time. I think the ideal balance is being friendly and comfortable together while also respecting each other’s privacy and downtime.

Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who wants to make the flat a home and enjoys having a peaceful, respectful place to come back to.
