Lodger Wanted in Charming Edwardian House

I’m looking for a Monday-to-Friday lodger (part-time flatmate) in my Edwardian house in Forest Gate, right on the doorstep to Wanstead Flats. It’s a 4 min walk to Wanstead Park station (Suffragette Line) and a 7 min walk to Forest Gate station (Elizabeth Line), making it really easy to get around.

This could suit someone who lives outside London and visits regularly for work. The arrangement would be Monday to Friday (4 nights). Bills are generally included with WiFi (1 Gbps Fibre Broadband), although heating depends on your preference. It’s a charming semi-detached Edwardian house, a bit cooler than newly built flats in winter, but nothing a few extra layers can’t fix. If you prefer lots of extra heating, we can discuss a contribution. Sorry, no TV license, but there is a TV in the lounge for Netflix etc if you have an account.

I could also consider a short let (5 or 7 days a week) with a minimum of 1 month: 7 days a week at £950 pcm.

The room is south-facing, overlooks the patio, and receives gorgeous morning light. It also has lovely white wooden shutters. The room comes with a double bed and memory foam mattress (I’m happy to swap for a spring mattress depending on preference). There is one wardrobe, and I can also provide a chest of drawers if needed. The kitchen, lounge, patio, and bathroom will be shared with me.

It would be great to meet someone friendly, clean, and tidy who is looking for a place to “hang their hat” while in town and who will treat the space with respect. No smokers and no pets, please.
