Bright and spacious double room in Forest Gate 🌳

Hello!

We have a gorgeous, large double room going in our lovely flat in Forest Gate. Our current housemate, Heather is heading back home to Scotland and so we are looking for someone to take her room from the 11th July (but we do have some flexibility around the date). You will be living with myself, Maddie and my friend Ayesha. We are both actors and when we’re not acting Ayesha works in a fun Soho Pub and I do lots of different jobs, mainly teaching.

The flat is stunning and really good value. We have a really spacious and sunny living room and a lovely kitchen with a dining table. We have a modern, spacious bathroom with a lovely bath/shower. We also have a garden with sun loungers and the views are all lovely and green. Other than the bedroom the rest of the flat has been furnished by us.

We’re in Forest Gate which has some really nice indipendent cafes, restaurants and pubs and we are a 3 minute walk from Wanstead Flats which is really beautiful. We’ve walked from here all the way up into Epping Forest before and even found cows (featured in the pic!) The flat is on a really quiet street which has a lovely safe, community feel. There’s a big Lidl, a co-op, a tesco express and lots of independent grocery stores super close by. It’s a 10 minute walk to Forest Gate Station which is on the Elizabeth Line making it really easy to get into Central London. Wanstead Park Overground is only a 7 minute walk and very well connected too. It’s also really lovely to cycle around here!

Bills (water, electricity, gas, wifi and council tax) work out around £120-£150 a month and we are in Council Tax Band B. We also have a lovely landlord who is really responsive and happy for us to make the house our own and put things up on the walls. It’s an Open Rent contract and we’re looking for someone long term (ideally for a year but with our contract you do have the option to replace yourself on the contract.)

We’ve only been in the flat since September last year and didn’t know Heather before she moved in but have all become friends and created a lovely dynamic. We’re going to really miss Heather and want to find someone who’s looking for a nice place to call home. We both work a mix of daytimes, evenings and some weekends. We love hanging out when we’re all in but also have active social lives and respect each other’s space. We enjoy cooking, watching films and TV together and going for walks in the park. There’s also a really nice ParkRun just down the road and a great Saturday market in Forest Gate.
