FREE IN EXCHANGE FOR DOG & HOUSE SITTING: Clean and modern fully furnished flat with lots of natural light in the heart of Greenwich in a bright, new development.

Hello! My flat is available from tomorrow 25th August. It's offered for FREE in exchange for looking after the property, staying overnight, and looking after my dog.

Your new friend is a lovely Saluki X Whippet who is very easy going- walk/food in the morning and again in the evening. She's a little love - very affectionate but not too needy, very good natured, loves good and a good cuddle and play with her rope toys. She sleeps most of the day away if you let her! She is really good with strangers and is always saying hello to new people.

There's really not much to do other than sit back and enjoy London!

*Details about the sit*

Xena and the flat really are great! I do want to be as honest as possible so as not to give false expectations as it is not completely flawless!

It's my flat but my sister lives there with her dog, Xena, and I live in Edinburgh. We've done a bit of a swap and she is currently in Edinburgh and I am back down south (and looking after Xena). I will be returning to Edinburgh on 24th and she will still be up there, hence the flat will be empty for around a week and Xena will need some company!

Hopefully you'll be OK to collect Xena from boarding in Greenwich town centre 5 minutes walk away.

The flat is homely and clean. In addition to its good condition, I'll order some brand new bedding and a shower curtain for your use and get the flat professionally cleaned just before you arrive!

I will order and pay for in advance the new bedding, shower curtain and some treats for Xena from two shops in Charlton, a great shopping location 5 minutes away on the train. I hope you'll be OK to go and back them up. I will leave some cash in the flat to pay for a cab back with the shopping.

You're welcome to use anything in the house - there's not much food or wine left but what is there you are of course welcome to!

There is a bit of character with the flooring - we've been experimenting! The kitchen is half grey lino and half garage floor blank paint. There's also a very small hole in the lino in the living room which I will try to patch up before I leave but may not be able to.

There is an issue with the wifi. I hope to get it sorted before you arrive but just to make you aware it might not be available.

Xena is house trained but this week has sometimes got a bit of separation anxiety which has caused her to wee a little in the kitchen when left. There will be puppy training pads to help with this.

The flat is a one bedroom but for your stay it will basically be a studio - the front-room will have a comfy sofa bed, drawers etc. so will be a sleeping and living space. There will be a large hallway cupboard and you can put suitcases and clothes etc. in there. The bedroom is closed off and will hold my and my sisters'things in (my flat, I stay occasionally, sister usually lives there).

The sofabed is really big and comfy. Since I have been staying this week however someone has come a little loose so one part is a little bouncier than the other! It's the side that is closest to the wall and goes up to form the back of the sofa, so it doesn't affect sitting on / getting up / off the bed.

I may not be working the bed properly, however the back part of the sofabed doesn't always click into place when upright in the sofa position, so to get it to go back into a sofa I've been leaning that part of the bed on the wall behind giving it more of a recliner effect.

The mattress is in two parts. The zip of the mattress cover that should keep them attached is a bit frazzled (may have pulled it too hard!) so they'll have to stay separate.

*Transport*

5 minutes walk to Cutty Sark DLR.

Bus stop right outside into North Greenwich (10 minutes, northern line) Lewisham, Newcross, Canada Water, Surrey Quays, Woolwich, Waterloo, Russel Square and elsewhere in London.

5 minutes walk to Greenwich train station and DLR. Train from Greenwich into central London is around 15 minutes. Lovely Kent is in the opposite direction for a nice day out.

*The flat*

The flat is well decorated, modern and clean.

It is a one bedroom flat but for the purpose of your stay it will be a studio as the bedroom will have my and my sisters' things in.

The bedroom / living area is a double, light, spacious and well furnished. There is a large flat screen TV with freeview, a wii and a playstation. The room has large windows overlooking the communal garden and lets in lots of natural light. There is a large comfy sofa bed

The bathroom is large and clean with a bathtub / shower.

The kitchen is new and boasts a breakfast bar, with fridge freezer, washer dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven (cooker and hob) and all basic kitchen utensils.

There is a communal roof garden and parking space (extra cost). Everything other than parking is included, there are no hidden costs. There is also lift service in the building and therefore is suitable for those with access needs.

*Location*

Lovely Greenwich is in London zone 2, fairly central, full of local attraction such as: museums, parks, cafe, markets, cinema, comedy club, city farms, lots of restaurants, local designer shops, etc. Its a place where history, modern culture and beautiful scenery mix.

The flat is in a new development very close to Greenwich town centre with a late-opening Waitrose on the Ground floor. Postcode se10.

NCQ is a lovely community, there is an active facebook page and we organise activities e. g. drinks, cycling group, pilate group, running group, etc.

Thames path is right outside your door step with beaches at the Thames often accessible for a picnic! Otherwise enjoy a bikeride with stunning views or take a 5 minute walk to Greenwich park. There are loads of other green spaces around too.
