Beautiful House with Large Garden, Hackney Downs

Our flatmate Sophie is sadly leaving our 4 bed house in Hackney Downs, so we now have a double bedroom available to rent!

WHO YOU'LL BE LIVING WITH

Leeto and I (couple), Henry and Riyadh have been living together for over a year now. We are a friendly and sociable house, but also have quite busy and separate lives, so we're super understanding when it comes to personal space and alone time.

Danelle is 29, working as a freelance event producer and DJ, enjoys cooking and live music/ festivals. Leeto is 33 from Belfast, manages a cafe and loves a wee bit of rock climbing, cycling and yoga. Riyadh is 28, working as a mechanical engineer, enjoys illustration and baking. Henry is 30, works in music PR, enjoys baths and Enya.

We live in a beautiful spacious house so it’s the perfect space to have people over for dinner parties and drinks, or BBQs in the garden during the summer! We love pubs, parks, exhibitions or a boogie at the weekend, but also appreciate good home cooked meal and chilled night in.

ABOUT THE HOUSE

Our house is an absolute gem, which is why we did our best to keep it despite the rent increase we have just faced. It's situated 1 minute walk from Hackney Downs park, 5 minutes from Hackney Downs station, 10 minutes from Hackney Central and 10-15 from Dalston Junction/Kingsland. There are also plenty of buses going to central London from Pembury Circus, only 5 minutes away. We are basically in the heart of Hackney but in a quiet residential street with lots of green around, but we have our local pubs and shops just on our doorstep.

The house is on 3 main floors:
- Ground floor: kitchen, dining room, living room and second bathroom. We also have a cellar and large garden with a shed.
- First floor: two bedrooms and main bathroom.
- Second floor: two bedrooms and storage cupboards.

Our landlord and landlady live two doors away and we have a good relationship with them.

Bills are not included and are around £100 each on average (depending on the time of year), which also includes a cleaner who comes every other week.

ABOUT YOUR ROOM

Your room is on the second floor. It’s large, and bright with a south facing garden view. It comes with a wardrobe, bed frame and desk, and you can of course rearrange the furniture as you like.

We are looking for someone friendly and easy going, but also tidy and respectful of our home. If you think you’d be a good fit, please get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself! We probably won’t be able to get back to everyone because of the crazy demand, but we’ll start viewings asap.
