Light airy room in Hackney

👋🏼 On the lookout for a thoughtful flatmate.

The flat has big windows, lots of light and good spots to perch. It's a 4 minute walk from Hackney Downs station with trains into Liverpool Street. The Downs are good for a run or stroll, and the neighbourhood is full of pleasant parks, swimming spots, pubs, foods, wines, and cafés nearby. Council tax, electricity, water, and all that is included.

The room is pretty roomy and there's a nice southwestern light that streams in all day. It's furnished with a double bed, big armoire, little desk and there are a few plants who'd be happy to join you if you'd appreciate their company.

All of us in the building ride bikes so the communal hallway is a bit full of them, but we could get organised with a rack and create more space if you need it.

I work as a researcher and use some of the common space for work a couple of days / week. I also occasionally teach yoga and run a charity which the flat's HQ of for for now. Oh, and I'm veg, so easy if you're one too or else happy to scrub up pretty well if you cook meat in the flat.

As far as the vibe of the space goes, I'd say it's quiet and peaceful by default —not an impromptu party sort of flat. But I love gatherings and having people round for dinner from time to time, so if we check in and arrange that stuff with each other in advance, that could work really well.

This is suitable for someone needing a place to stay short-term or a little longer.
