Looking for people to join our lovely home!

Hi! We're Madeleine and Steve, and we're looking for a couple or single person to move into a vacant room as our current housemate is moving out.

The house is in a lovely, quiet spot on the edge of Christchurch Square Gardens, a 5-minute walk from Victoria Park, 2 minutes from Sainsbury's, and round the corner from Broadway Market.

We're looking for people who are up for being part of the house – happy to cook together every now and then, watch a bit of TV, play cards or head to the pub, while also having your own lives and doing your own thing. We enjoy a friendly, sociable home, but also love our own space!

A bit about us: Steve works for a small climate tech startup, and Madeleine works for the Red Cross. We're both pretty active and spend a lot of time making the most of living by Victoria Park – running, playing squash, football, and lounging. We both work in the office most of the week, with the odd day working from home.

We're fairly relaxed but like to keep the place clean and tidy, with everyone chipping in on chores. We have friends over from time to time, but it's not a party house. We're also open to pets.

The house has a big, bright living room, one bathroom with a bath/shower, a separate second toilet, and a small third bedroom. The room is £1,300 per month for a single person or £1,750 for a couple, with bills of around £150 per person per month. The higher rent for a couple reflects the fact that we'd turn the smaller third bedroom into a shared study/hangout space for everyone to enjoy (we're open to ideas!).
