Double Room in gorgeous Haggerston Flat

Hi everyone,

Sadly my flatmate’s moving out to go travelling (yay for her!) so there‘ll be a double bedroom up for grabs in our gorgeous Haggerston flat.

Vickie is aiming to move out in January but is flexible with this if the right person comes along and needs to move in sooner.

The Flat
The flat consists of two bedrooms, a large bathroom with bath/shower and plenty of space for 2 people to share. Plus the living room and kitchen (induction hob + dishwasher) which are spacious and open plan, so a good place to socialise and debrief while someone cooks dinner and the other watches TV. There is also a large balcony off from the living room that is great for relaxing and people watching.
We have friendly, quiet neighbours too which is a bonus.

Storage space is good as there are two spacious cupboards in the hallway. One of which we use for coats, shoes and any other clothes, the other one is completely yours. On top of that there is also a laundry room with washer/dryer, ironing board and plenty of space for storage of other bulky household items out of sight.

The rooms were unfurnished when we moved in, so if you have your own bedroom furniture that is perfect. If you don’t have your own furniture and would prefer for Vickie to leave any of her bits behind (eg. the bed) to avoid having to buy new, she’s happy to do that and can let you know how much that would be.

If you have any other furniture for the living room etc, you’re also very welcome to bring that. I’m flexible and am sure we can work something out 😊
I’m also happy about any addition to my already quite extensive plant collection!

There’s a little coartyard in the middle of the apartment complex which all tenants have access to, as well as a secure bike storage room just off the main entrance, and a lift.

The flat is managed by Metra Living. Rent and all enquiries are handled through an online ortal which makes admin really easy. They are really responsive to any repairs and send someone around straight away which is great.

Rent is £1,350 pcm and bills usually come to around £170 depending on the month. I’m currently shopping around for a cheaper broadband deal so trying to get bills down a bit 🤓

Deposit will be 5 weeks rent.

References will be required as well as a minimum income of around 48k.

PS you’ll see scaffolding outside the windows on the pictures however that’s being taken down at the moment.

About Me
I’m 35 and have been living in London for 10 years now (where did time go…), 5 of which with Vickie and 2.5 in this lovely flat. We originally met through SpareRoom as well and have now become great friends.

I’m an Account Manager at Warner Bros. and in the office 3-4 days a week. I usually try to work from home on Fridays. Ideally I’d like to find someone with a similar in office/wfh schedule.

I’m a clean, tidy and considerate housemate who always tries to make the flat feel as homely and welcoming as possible. I love having the flat a nice and quiet space to enjoy my downtime in and wind down after a busy day.
I‘d like to find someone that‘ll want to watch the odd show/movie, get the occasional take out together or just head to the pub for a quick drink and gossip, but also doesn‘t mind me just hanging out in my room.
I‘m out some days of the week but also have my lazy weeks where I just like to be cozy at home.
On weekends I like to go the gym a bit when I have time, meet up with friends or just do boring life admin.
I tend to socialise outside the flat, and my party days have sadly passed so I‘m looking for someone who is happy to have a nice and quiet home, making the most of only sharing with one other person.

I‘m very much a cat person but sadly don’t have one of my own so happy to welcome a furry 3rd flatmate along with you!

Location
If you‘re not familiar with the area, the flat’s perfectly located on a quiet road close to the canal but in the midst of a bustling area. Both Haggerston and Hoxton Overground stations are about 5 minutes away, and we have plenty of busses to London Bridge and central London around us.
There‘s Broadway Market just up the canal as well as Columbia Flower Market a short walk away. There‘s plenty of restaurants, bars, pubs and coffeeshops in the area as well as all sorts of supermarkets and a gym.
