Hi! Our current housemate is going off to travel the world, so we are on the hunt for someone new to join us.

Just to say from the outset that, unfortunately, we can't take pets, couples or students, due to conditions set by our letting agent and landlord. We're also looking for someone around our age (30-40).

The room available is at the front of the house and is on the first floor. It is 15m2, has an ornamental fireplace plus two large sash windows that look out onto the leafy, quiet street. It comes unfurnished aside from the bed.

We've been living together for several years now - Clare moved in in 2020 for somewhere spacious and quiet to ride out the pandemic, and Emily and Jonnie joined 2 1/2 years ago. Although we are on a flexible lease, we're looking for someone who wants to stick around for a while.

We're a sociable house: although we all have our own lives and interests, we get along really well and enjoy each other's company when we're home. We try and always have a series we noisily binge together, and Emily is a great baker who makes sure we're kept well fed. It's definitely somewhere you can call home, rather than just a house.

We share a large kitchen/dining room where we spend our evenings cooking and chatting, and occasionally opening a bottle with friends. There’s a living room with sofas and a big TV where we binge shows together in the winter months. There’s also a home office that fits two people, which means even when we're all working from home, we're never on top of each other.

There’s a big and bright bathroom on the first floor, and a large utility room and toilet in the basement, which leads out to a very large garden. SpareRoom limits the number of photos we can post, so it’s hard to accurately depict how massive and lovely the house is!

The house has four bedrooms in total. The other three rooms are taken by Clare, Emily and Jonnie, who work in the civil service, higher education and publishing respectively.

We all pitch in to help keep the house clean and the garden green. We're looking for someone who will do their fair share of cleaning, and you'd definitely get bonus points if you've got a green thumb or have DIY talent.

We are two minutes from Haringay Station, and about 15 from Finsbury Park Station. This also puts us right in the middle of Crouch End, Finsbury Park and Green Lanes, which means delicious bakeries, food shops, pubs, coffee places, leafy walks and bottle shops are all on our doorstep. We're really lucky to live in such a nice part of London.

Bills, cleaning supplies and other small shared expenses etc are typically £185-190 a month. We manage everything on a joint Monzo account which keeps everything low stress. The room is available to move into between 1st Jan - 10th Jan.
