We are looking for a long-term housemate to share our lovely house in Harringay. Read below to find out more and send us a message if you are keen with some bits and pieces about yourself.
House:
It's a 4 bed house with lots of communal space – a living room, dining room, kitchen, and garden. All the rooms are a good size and the bathroom is pretty standard. The whole house is very light and airy and during lockdown it's been given a bit of a spruce up. We have a garden which we love (and try, sometimes unsuccessfully, to keep neat) The house is away from the main roads so is pretty quiet.
Room:
The room is a good size with a view over the garden, high ceilings and plenty of light as you can see in the pictures. It's furnished and comes with a bed, wardrobe, bookshelves and chest of drawers. There's even room for a small desk if you've got one you're bringing with you.
Bills:
The room is £550 per month. Bills come to an additional £90 or so per month, including a fantastic cleaner.
Us:
Once our flatmate has left to move in with her partner, three will remain – Louise, Tom and Vanessa. Tom is a teacher, Louise works in publishing and Vanessa works in hospitality (and is an amazing cook!) We are a friendly bunch and hang out together – cooking, drinks, BBQ, that kind of thing. We are tidy and respectful.
Public transport:
Our nearest tube station is Turnpike Lane (about a 10 min walk). But you can also get to Manor House in zone 2 pretty quickly (25 min walk or 5 min bus). Near us we also have Hornsey and Harringay rail stations, Harringay Green Lanes overground station and the closest buses are the 29, 141 and 341 – it's pretty well connected all in all. Two of us have bikes and there's lots of good cycle routes nearby.
Area:
The area is lovely. We are off Green Lanes with all the delicious food that brings. There are a few really good pubs nearby as well. Supermarkets are near (20 min walk or 5 min bus/cycle). Finsbury Park, Alexandra Palace and Downhills Park are all only short walks away.
Move-in date:
7 September is the start of a new 12-month tenancy agreement (they get renewed every year). Whoever moves in will be able to sign it in full. The move-in date reflects that.
