Hey! My lovely housemate has had to move out of our Victorian flat in Herne Hill, so I'm on the hunt for someone to take his room. I'm a journalist and work in the city full-time, so can often be found looking quizzical at my laptop or the paper. At times, I can be a total Grandma (asleep in a cardigan) but at others, I love kicking back with a beer/glass of wine on the terrace or in the garden. If this sounds like your vibe and you fancy living somewhere where you can make your own, then hit me up :)

The flat: 2-double bedroom terraced flat in Herne Hill/Brixton.
The room comes unfurnished with a new bed and mattress, and the landlord has given permission for art to be hung on the walls (they're generally super chilled). There is extra storage in a cupboard opposite (not shown in pics)

Refurbished kitchen and large lounge with sofa, high ceilings and plentiful storage.
We are also very lucky to share a back garden with a beautiful community of neighbours - all in their mid-20s - 50s. We all love to garden, have BBQs, enjoy live music, and often watch the UEFA Women's Euros together on the projector (if it's not raining!)

The room is available immediately. A rolling contract can be broken after six months for a fee of £50.
Rent: £775 pcm without bills
Bills come to around £150 each. Cost of Living makes this an estimate.

Local transport:
Herne Hill station is a minute walk away and can be accessed from the back garden or the front entrance to the mansion block. It takes roughly 10 minutes to Victoria, 15 minutes to Blackfriars and 2 minutes to Tulse Hill.
Brixton Tube Station (Victoria Line) is a 20-min walk away.
There are so many bus links to choose from.

Local Amenities:
Sainsbury's and Tesco are only a hop, skip, and a jump away - I'd say a minute's walk away - if that.
Brockwell Park is a two-minute walk away
500 Rabbits is my favourite pizza restaurant and it's only a 3-or-so minute stroll away. As is our local - The Florence - where there are pub quizzes every Tuesday!

Basically, it's really lovely here.
