Hi there,

We’re Ned and Polly, a friendly married couple living in a beautifully renovated 4-bedroom house in a peaceful, well-connected spot between Herne Hill and Loughborough Junction.

Our current housemate is sadly heading back to Brazil, so we’re looking for someone new to take her place and enjoy this lovely home with us. She'd be happy to give a reference for us if you want one :)

The house has been completely renovated and we only moved in this February, so everything is brand new and in excellent condition — no maintenance issues or delays getting things fixed as we own the house. We've got a bit of painting to do to make it even lovelier so it'll get even better soon. Including new dining table and other furniture on it's way!

It’s on a very quiet street, making it a genuine retreat from the pace of London life.

The room itself is bright and comfortable, with its own en-suite shower and sink, giving you privacy and convenience. There’s also a lovely garden with a cherry tree, perfect for relaxing as the weather gets nicer. Rent includes use of the garden and the kitchen/dining area, which is a great open space for cooking and unwinding.

One thing to note is that the main sitting room is used as a home office, so it’s not part of the shared living space day-to-day. However, if we’re away, you’re very welcome to make use of it.

Location-wise, you’ve got Ruskin Park right on the doorstep, along with great local restaurants, cafés and gyms nearby. It’s also really well connected, with easy access into central London via Loughborough Junction or Brixton.

A bit about us and what we’re looking for:
We both have busy lives and like to keep the house as a calm, tidy space to come back to. It’s a relaxed, independent household rather than a very social one - we’re always friendly and up for a chat, but everyone tends to do their own thing. So it would suit someone who’s happy with their own space and isn’t specifically looking for a house where you regularly hang out together.

We have a cleaner weekly for communal areas - you can also have her clean your room if you'd like.

We’re ideally looking for someone who is very clean, respectful of shared spaces, and generally keeps to themselves. If you’re after a peaceful, well-kept home to unwind in, you’ll fit right in.
