Bright, spacious Zone 2 room (15 mins Victoria)

We are looking for a MONDAY TO FRIDAY ONLY lodger for this lovely large bed-sitting room, a modern loft conversion in a friendly family Edwardian terraced house. Room is both spacious and cosy, with front half ideal work/study area, and under-eaves area at the back for sleeping/watching TV. The walls are partly book-lined, but with plenty of space for your own things. At the top of the house and so quite separate - little noise reaches you. Comfortable double bed with recently purchased medium-firm mattress. Large desk with chair, a set of shelves, some hanging and drawer space, TV, effective heater.

Rent includes all bills, use of kitchen including washing machine, two-weekly cleaning and WiFi broadband. I have one delightful and very well-behaved sixteen-year-old daughter, a son away at uni, and a cat who mostly won't venture up to your room. There is an adjoining bathroom (featuring shower/bath, wc, basin) for your private use. (As a family we have our own bathroom one floor down.)

We are 5 mins walk from Herne Hill rail station, which has good connections to either Victoria (9 mins) or Elephant, Blackfriars and Kings Cross (approx 7 mins, 10 mins and 20 mins). Alternatively the No 3 bus goes from the corner of our road to central London within 30 to 40 minutes, or to Brixton tube station within 10. Centre of Herne Hill has good shops, bars, restaurants and a weekend market. In the other direction, ten mins walk away is Tulse Hill stn with trains into London Bridge. We are on a quiet residential street with excellent small grocers on the corner, and right next to beautiful Brockwell Park.

I am flexible about occasional weekend staying, by arrangement in advance, at modest extra cost. But I am essentially looking for a professional person who works outside the home during the daytimes.
