Hello,

My partner and I are looking for a person to share our home with. We live in a beautiful 3 bedroom mid century house in Highams Hill (Blackhorse Road tube station) in Walthamstow with a lush and mature garden with sun most of the day.

We are ideally looking for someone to join us long term if the vibe is right with a minimum commitment of 4 moths.

About us:
I am Ella, 43 and an interior architect that has recently started specialising on Sustainability in Architecture. I enjoy hosting dinners for my friends, I like reading, traveling and do ceramics on my spare time. I grew up in Stockholm and studied in Sydney before moving to London ca 11 years ago.

Karolina is 47 and is a social worker currently setting up her own therapy business focusing on young adults and families She is obsessed with dogs, loves surfing and enjoys meditation and writing on her spare time. Karolina also grew up in Stockholm but has lived in Tokyo, Bali and London.

During working weeks we enjoy home cooked meals, garden time and like to get to bed early, while on weekends we sleep in, go for walks, enjoy culture, meet friends, host dinners or travel when we can.
About the house:
We live in a 3 bedroom house with three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs (third bedroom has been turned into an office) and an open plan living/dining/kitchen/conservatory with garden on the ground floor.

We have recently renovated the house and installed additional insulation, underfloor heating and upgraded all the electrics. The bathroom and kitchen are also both newly fitted.

We keep the house clean and tidy and take pride in keeping it a harmonious space to land in after a long day at work. We keep good relationship with the neighbours and occasionally spend time together.

We love living in Walthamstow and Blackhorse Road and often feel we don’t have any reason to leave on weekends as we have everything accessible here.

SOHO Theatre recently opened its door in E17 which has been a fabulous addition to the area. We also have the Beer mile around the corner, farmers markets, several excellent bakeries, cafes, pubs, restaurants, parks, nature reserves and much more nearby. 

The house is ca 17 min walk - 5 min cycle - 10 min bus/walk - from Blackhorse Road Station.

About the room:
Furnished room with a double bed, under bed storage, clothes rail, storage cabinet, reading lights, speaker, mirror (plants optional :)) Desk or armchair can be provided as well.

The rent includes bills - broadband, gas, electricity, water, council tax, fortnightly house cleaning and regular window cleaning.

Our rate is slightly higher than the rest of the rooms in the area since we really value a spacious house and having an office/reading space rather than an another housemate.

About you:
We are looking for a person that shares our values and way of life and is looking for a place that is "home" rather than just a "house".

You are be a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally that is comfortable with our lifestyle. We are both bi-cultural, intersectional feminists and passionate about social, racial and political justice. If you are too that would be a plus. We value honesty, direct communication and openness highly.

We prefer you to be a professional like us where your work life would balance well with ours. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate for any pets at this time.
