Cosy room in queer house 🌈

Hello! We're Cat (she/her) and Lou (they/she), and we're looking for a new, queer housemate to join us in our cosy home a super short walk from Arsenal & Finsbury Park station.

The house itself is pretty spacious, with a garden, big living room and dining area, basement and one shared bathroom with a bath (and plenty of candles).

Your room would be a cosy double room with a lovely view of the garden. There are also plenty of shared storage spaces around the house. If you work from home full time, this might not be the space for you as a desk would be a bit of a squeeze, but we are open to someone who has a hybrid (home/office) working set up and wants to make use of the shared living spaces.

The house is perfectly located- 11 mins from arsenal to kings cross and 20 mins bus to Dalston. There are also beautiful parks all around - Gillespie, Clissold and Highbury fields are short walks away. The high street is just a few doors down and has so many options for brunch etc! Generally a lively and community feel to the neighbourhood (esp on match days) but the house and road still feels calm.

A little bit more about us - Cat is a geography teacher who loves trees, chatting and cooking for others. Lou works in the games industry (hybrid working from home/office!) and has recently bought a fire pit for the garden and is very excited about it. We met on spare room a couple of years ago and have been good friends ever since <3

We know it's mega cliché, but we're not just looking for a housemate, we're looking for a new pal! We love going out on queer nights out, including queer ceilidh dances, and are always looking out for each other.

We order a big shop from Tesco every few weeks and share things communally- we don't have separate cupboards but ofc know when various foodstuffs are for individuals only (e. g: deliciously ella granola and fanta). We rarely cook meat in the house and would ideally like to keep it this way, but it's not a dealbreaker.

We're also open to any furry felines you may want to bring with you - the housemate you'd be replacing is taking her cat with her, so we're currently in mourning :(

The room is partially furnished with some drawers and a clothes rack but our current housemate is happy to sell the bed and mattress to you !
