We are in the heart of Highbury, (Zone 2) a short walk from Highbury Fields and Upper Street with all the food and entertainment it has to offer. Canonbury Station is round the corner and Highbury and Islington tube a few minutes’ walk away.
The room opens out (through the window) to a lovely courtyard with garden furniture, plants and a hammock in the summer. You are welcome to use this any time. The bed is king size and has a brand new Emma mattress.
We are a happy easy going couple, and live here with Charlie our lodger who's currently doing a postgrad at the RCA. We are, as you can probably tell from the look of the flat, a fairly boho lot. He is a photographer, writer and runs a small tour guiding company, she teaches pilates. The atmosphere is relaxed, we sit down to a properly cooked evening meal every night and this is included in the rent, as are all bills. Diane is a fantastic cook and we eat a largely plant based diet, with a bit of cheese and the odd egg. Breakfast is available but you help yourself. As you can see from the pictures we have a large comfortable living room and everyone is always welcome to hang out there to watch TV, scoff chocs, help finish off a bottle of wine etc. We also love music - the place if full of instruments of one kind or another. We have the odd get together (sometimes Sunday night film club where we get the projector and the big screen out/the occasional backgammon Sunday) but generally the house is quiet.
Your room is your own space however and you are welcome to have guests stay over..

The rent is £1100 per month for a single person. Couples considered for an extra £250 per month.) We cover all bills and food so there’s nothing else to pay for.
The room is available on a short to medium term at the moment.

We are looking for somebody who is out at work all day, not somebody who works from home.
The time is only limited to six months at the moment as we need to keep things open because we may (or may not) need the room back for a family member in the next year or so.
