Official sublet, lease ends September 4th, 2026. Suitable for language course students. Rebook directly at the front desk if you have comfortable accommodations. (This room was hard to book last August; priority given to those who can cover the entire lease term.)
1. Second-floor gold room type, facing south onto a side street (not the railway tracks). Sunlight in the afternoon and midday. As it's the last large room on each floor, it's a bit far from the next room, with good soundproofing. Bluetooth speakers are available in the room.
2. The most important advantage I considered when choosing this apartment last year: convenient transportation. Just 5 meters to the left is Holloway tube station for Piccadilly, and another 5 meters to the left is a bus stop with 7 bus lines. It's 3 tube stops to UCL's School of Education, a total commute of 18 minutes including walking (I'm a student at UCL's School of Management, and my commute to all classrooms is usually no more than 25 minutes, plus the short walking distance. Perfect for first-time visitors to London worried about walking alone at night; home is right outside the tube station). 1 meter to the right of the apartment is Yohome (Chinese supermarket), 20 meters across the street is Aldi (discount supermarket), and another 20 meters to the right (but without crossing the street) is Tesco. These three supermarkets provide 80% of daily necessities and groceries. 100 meters to the left is Sainsbury's, 500 meters to the left is Waitrose, Morrison, Iceland, Lidl, and £1 shops, and 800 meters to the left is Boots... Supermarket lovers are truly blessed to live here.
3. The room type is Gold, and it's quite spacious. A neighbor who lives in Silver came to see it, and her room's hallway was so narrow that a suitcase couldn't even fit. The Gold room is perfectly adequate, and it has two south-facing floor-to-ceiling windows (Silver only has one). I was worried about it facing another student apartment building and having a direct view of the opposite building, but I personally checked and we can't see anything. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, oven, and has ample heating. There's also a warm-light strip lamp by the bedside. Cleaning is done every two weeks. To avoid staff touching my belongings, I wrote a note requesting only hair and sink residue be cleaned, leaving the beds undisturbed. The apartment has a gym, laundry room, cinema, study room, discussion room, 24-hour front desk, and access control for both the apartment and rooms.
4. Located in N7, commuting to the university and major attractions is extremely convenient. I can't praise the commuting service enough! The Piccadilly line might be suspended on weekends due to sports games (not every week), but there are public buses, so it won't affect classes.
5. Very new, no discomfort living here. If I had to point out a flaw, the heating system made a strange noise in the middle of the night once, which scared me quite a bit. Later, I found out it was because it needed to bleed air. I emailed them for repairs, and the maintenance personnel fixed it the next day, and it hasn't made a sound since. Another time, there was no hot water at 1 am, and the water temperature was too low, but this was very rare.
6. I have a folding piano, a clothes rack with a radiator, a standing clothes rack, and some brand-new clothes from a previous shipment, etc., which I can sell secondhand at a rock-bottom price.
