Hello!
We're Anna and India, two friends that have lived together for 2+ years. We are currently moving house and have found somewhere brilliant in Homerton. We need x2 more girls/non binary folk to join us to fill this great, spacious 4 bed in a quiet residential area.
Timeline:
Move in date is TBC, we're hoping for mid-Nov or early Dec. However, you'd need to be ready to sign the contract ASAP.
The house:
Spread over two floors with a tiled modern bathroom, downstairs toilet, big kitchen and separate living room area. With a garden! India is a keen gardener interested in setting up some raised beds so we can grow food, and the new landlord is really open to this. He knows many of the neighbours and seems really sound. The last tenants all moved out because they were leaving London or moving in with other friends, but they were here for 3 years.
The landlord cleaned the whole place and fitted a new shower since they moved out, so it is currently partly furnished but he has said he's happy to furnish it further.
The first room is a small, square double with big windows. It will need furnishing, either with the landlord's help or if you have your own furniture. This one is £850 (excl. bills).
The second room is much larger, also with big windows, plenty of room for belongings and additional furniture. It has a bed and fitted wardrobe already. This one is £950 (excl. bills).
About us:
We enjoy spending time together, going to galleries, doing crafts, watching telly, grabbing a drink - but are also independent, valuing quiet rest time at home and doing our own thing.
Anna works a 9 to 5 in advertising at an office in Angel though she works from home once a week, and I am a freelancer in the theatre and environmental sectors. I have a studio where I work in Shacklewell so while I am home during quiet periods I won't be working there all the time.
About the home environment:
We are clean, creative and care a lot about our home environment being a safe and peaceful one. We love this place because there's ample room for cooking, hosting dinners or film nights, and spending time in the garden. Generally we share food - the fridge is often peppered with homemade things - and you'd be welcome to join this but there wouldn't be an expectation!
We use eco friendly cleaning products and care about managing our waste responsibly, so we'd like someone who shares this mindset. While we occasionally enjoy a party out of the house, we don't like to bring it home - so no crazy afters.
We think we'd get on well with someone kind, considerate, community minded who cares about nature.
