We're looking for a friendly, professional and considerate housemate to join our relaxed and welcoming home in the heart of Honor Oak Park.
The available room is a bright, medium-sized double on the first floor, with a large window overlooking our peaceful garden, with flowers, vegetables and fruit trees. It also features built-in shelving hidden behind a full-height door, offering plenty of storage while keeping the space uncluttered. The room comes furnished with a comfortable IKEA Lycksele LÖVÅS sofa bed, which you're welcome to keep or replace with your own bed if you prefer.
One of the highlights is the wonderful elevated view across London, with Canary Wharf visible on the horizon.
The first floor also includes a shared bathroom with a bath, excellent hot water and plenty of space for your toiletries.
The house sits on a quiet residential street at the top of the hill, just a 5-minute walk from both Honor Oak Park and Crofton Park stations. It's perfectly located for enjoying both nature and city life, with beautiful green spaces including Blythe Hill Fields, Ladywell Fields and One Tree Hill all within easy walking distance.
Transport links are excellent, with London Overground, National Rail and frequent bus services providing quick access to Central London and beyond.
Downstairs you'll find a comfortable shared living room with a leather sofa, coffee table and TV—a great place to relax after work. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, including a gas cooker, coffee machine, blender, toaster and plenty of cupboard space. Shared cookware, crockery and cutlery are provided, although you're welcome to bring your own.
The kitchen opens onto a balcony overlooking the garden, making it a lovely spot for breakfast or an evening meal during the warmer months. Steps lead down to the garden and basement, which houses a utility room with a washing machine, additional storage and a small music studio.
One of the housemates is a professional musician who uses the basement studio, so the house would particularly suit someone creative—or simply anyone who doesn't mind the occasional music during daytime hours.
The other housemate is a friendly, well-travelled professional working in hospitality. Together we enjoy a relaxed and respectful atmosphere where everyone has their own space while also being happy to chat over a coffee or a glass of wine.
We also share the house with three affectionate and sociable cats, so you'll need to be happy living with feline friends. They enjoy having the windows open during the warmer months, which also helps keep the house fresh and airy.
The room is available on a 12-month tenancy starting 31st July. The property is in Council Tax Band D (Lewisham Council)
We're happy to arrange either virtual or in-person viewings. If you think you'd be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you!
