Hello!!
We’re looking for a fun and considerate housemate (open to all genders), to take over a double ensuite bedroom in our lovely home!
HOUSE
We live in a converted chapel on Hackney Road. The flat is located on the top floor and is split level, with a fab terrace that has views of the city.
Downstairs has lots of room for four people. The kitchen has tiled floors, a dishwasher and a gas hob. The living room is a great space for relaxing and entertaining, incl. a great hifi system and a projector for movie nights. There’s a bedroom and shared toilet on this floor too.
Your ensuite bedroom would be upstairs, along with two other bedrooms and another shared bathroom. The landing leads out to the south-facing terrace, which is a real suntrap.
ROOM
It’s a pretty large ensuite room that comes with a desk, a mid-century sideboard and built-in wardrobe/storage space (not pictured). The room itself is south-facing, so gets lots of light throughout the day. The bathroom has an all-important bath-shower, and also has a good storage.
Rent is £1,550 per month plus bills (roughly £150 per month).
LOCATION
The flat is in an amazing location - anything you’d ever want is basically on our doorstep. Turn left and you’re 5 mins away from the city; turn right and you’ve got cute bars, restaurants, parks and the canal. Everything is a walk or cycle away, and if you’re going further afield; Hoxton overground is a 4 mins walk, Old Street 15 mins and Liverpool St 20 mins.
FLATMATES
Oliver: I’ve been living here for nearly 4 years now and grew up in London (Putney), and still love everything that makes it special - food, gigs, clubbing, theatre. Work at ABRSM - if you ever took a grade in music, it was likely with them :)
Coral grew up literally 15 mins away in Hackney and never left, working as a model agent with all the bougieness but will forever love her pints and sewing clothes on the bedroom floor.
Indi is another Australian in London! She works full time as a project manager but has a bunch of creative projects on the side and loves to go for a dance on the weekend.
YOU
We’re looking for someone that’s the right balance of fun and chill, and who is tidy/considerate of others etc etc. We’ve become good friends, but also understand that we have our own busy lives, meaning there is no pressure to all hang out, especially during the week.
On weekends, we do have friends over for dinner or drinks (and dancing!!), and it would be nice for any future housemate to feel included and do the same. We love living here, and we hope any future housemate will come to love it too.
We are aiming to do viewings quite quickly, as the move in would be roughly early April.
Please get in touch if this sounds like the right place for you!
Thanks so much for reading all of this :)
