Our 3 bedroom flat will be available from the beginning of April. Its located in Hoxton, very close to Old Street station. We have loved living here, one of us for almost 2 years and one for the last 4 years! Due to a combination of redundancies and relocating we're all departing around the same time. For the area, this flat is a gem. It has a pretty spacious living room with a lovely balcony overlooking the city, a separate kitchen, a bathroom with a bath and a separate toilet. There's a fair amount of storage scattered across the flat and we also have space to store our bikes in the hallway. The flat is on the 5th floor out of 6 (there's 2 lifts). We have speedy fibre internet (fibre all the way through the flat) and the bills come to around £130 each. The rooms come with some furnishings, but can be arranged with the landlord to remove furnishings if desired.
The flat has 3 bedrooms, ranging from a large double to a small double. We've been doing a split of £980, £930 and £880 to account for the difference in size. The overall contract is £2800 a month.
Room 1 is £980 per month. This room is spacious and comes with a large wardrobe, desk unit and double bed.
Room 2 is £930 per month. This has a big window with tonnes of natural light coming in. It comes with a bed and a chest of drawers. The departing tenant is looking to sell a large wardrobe and small chest of drawers.
Room 3 is £880 per month. A small double with a bed/wardrobe/chest of drawers. There is space to fit a small desk if you want. There is a table in the living room our last tenant was sometimes using for their work.
The absolute greatest thing about this flat is the location. We love the area and feel so connected to the city. Everything your heart desires is a walking distance away. We’re right in the middle of Hoxton, next to Shoreditch, Angel and Islington. There’s tonnes of bars, brunch places, venues, cinemas, green spaces (e. g. Shoreditch Park, London Fields, Victoria Park), the Barbican, Colombia Road Flower Market and a 5 minute walk from the Regents Canal. We’re a short walk to Old Street Tube station (Zone 1 Northern line) or Hoxton (Zone 2 Overground). It’s perfectly connected for cycling anywhere.
We’ve been renewing the contract every August. The renters rights bill is due to come in from May which would make the contract rolling. We’re looking for people to sublet for the remaining weeks until May and then you will be able to sign a new rolling contract with the agency.
