Hi! Our lovely flatmate Kevin is moving by himself and we’re looking for a 4th to join our lovely community. You won’t just be joining our flat, you’ll be joining the friendly neighbouring community - we all hang out together, bbq, sometimes party. But ofc we also have our own lives.
So we’d like you to be a professional who goes to the office most days of the week. Someone who’s busy with their own life but has time to hang out, maybe go climbing, go for a walk in London fields, cook, have a drink now and then. We’ve all got busy lives but try make some time for eachother once a week, once a month, depending what’s happening in our lives.
We have a lovely cleaner coming every 2 weeks but like to keep a clean place regardless. We have plants we like maintaining and a bin schedule. Not much more, we’re adults and expect eachother to look after the place.
Myself, 32, I work in fintech, born in Romania, lived in Newcastle for years and have been in London for 2 years. I’ve got many, many interest outside of work: skiing, DJing, art, activism, kitesurfing, scuba diving, festivals, anything outdoors, bullying racists and sexists.
Loic, 30, is an AI software engineer. Works right around the corner, loves climbing, walking, chess, hanging out, is highly intelligent and will know something about everything. Has been 1 year in London, moving from Vienna. He’s French (but proud of his Irish heritage).
Sam, 28 has just left his last job and is now interviewing for CTO or founder technical engineer jobs. He spends time with his partner, on his Xbox or watching The Wire. He’s been in London for a few years but is from California. He has the room downstairs.
The rest of us have rooms upstairs. Your room is number 3, has its own shower, no toilet so it’s not fully en suite. There’s a toilet downstairs and a shower + toilet upstairs. We don’t seem to have issues with using the toilets or showers as we leave for work at different times.
Our letting agreement is directly with the landlord which is great. Any issues we had was resolved quickly (but thankfully not many issues and nothing important). The flat is recently refurbished, is warm and bills low.
We would pay £100/month for all else. I think we’re lucky with a very low council tax bill and good insulation.
The location is fantastic, walking distance to Shoreditch, next to the overground (30 seconds away), close to London fields, Islington, Dalston - plenty of things to do, good connections to central London too. So we expect the room to be in high demand - apologies if we don’t get to reply to everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to read - please quote ‘Green’ in your message if you read thus far so I know you’ve got all of the above. Any questions, drop me a message!
