Double room in beautiful Church conversion – Hackney Rd/Hoxton Overground

Hi all!

I’m looking for a new flatmate to take over the second bedroom in my two-bedroom flat on Hackney Road from 7 October.

The flat is a converted church, with a really spacious open-plan living room and a slightly enclosed kitchen with a beautiful original church window. It gets loads of natural light and has a very airy feel throughout. The bedroom is a good-sized double and is unfurnished, so you can make it your own. The rest of the flat is furnished and everything in the shared spaces is already here.

The location

The location is honestly one of my favourite things about the flat. Hoxton Overground is about 3 minutes away, and Old Street is around a 15-minute walk. There are also several bus stops nearby, including night bus routes, so getting around London is really easy.

You’re also a short walk from Brick Lane, Broadway Market, Columbia Road, Haggerston Park and London Fields, with loads of good cafés, restaurants, pubs and shops around the area.

Living with me

I’m 27 and currently finishing my law exams over the next few months. I’m from the US and Chile, and I’m generally not home much during the day. I also travel fairly regularly, so there’s quite a lot of time when you’ll have the flat to yourself.

I’m looking for someone friendly, clean and considerate who wants the flat to feel like a home. I’m very happy to have a drink, dinner or watch something together, but I also completely understand having our own routines and lives. Ideally, I’d like to find someone who is sociable and easy-going without expecting us to be joined at the hip!

Who I’m looking for

Ideally a woman in her mid-20s to early 30s, either working or studying. More than anything, I’m looking for someone clean, respectful and easy to live with. If you’re new to London or just looking for a nice flat in East London, even better.
