ROOM IN FINSBURY PARK (£618/month+bills, 5 weeks’ deposit)
Available from early October (move-in date can be discussed)
THE FLAT/ROOM
After nearly 5 happy years I am moving out of my favourite flat ever and moving in with my partner – very bittersweet!
No living room but the kitchen is big and airy with a big window giving onto the garden (which the landlord is currently doing some work on so it’ll be the perfect little haven during sunny days!).
Generous double with a big window also looking onto the garden, with good clothes storage.
The walls were repainted last year, it’ll be all yours to decorate as you please 🙂 (pictured – pictures are from a couple years ago, the room may be full of boxes when you visit!)
RENT: £618
BILLS: £143
DEPOSIT: 5 weeks deposit (around £720 I believe)
(Benefits accepted as long as a UK guarantor can be provided)
LOCATION
Set on Blackstock road, 10 mins away from Arsenal station (Piccadilly line) and Finsbury Park station (Victoria/Picadilly line). Super convenient bus stop right outside and a wide array of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars right on the doorstep! There is a Lidl 10 mins from the flat! Short walk to Finsbury park, Gillespie Park, Clissold Park and Highbury fields and you can be in Central London within 15 minutes.
ACCESSIBILITY
There are two and a half flights of stairs to your room: 1 flight of stairs from the entrance door to the bathroom, a few steps from the bathroom to the kitchen and one flight of stairs from the kitchen to your room. There’s also metal staircase going down into our (soon-to-be-gorgeous) garden.
HOUSEMATES
- Mairi (she/her), 45, lovely Scottish flatmate who mostly keeps to herself but likes cooking & singing (especially musicals – and she sings well, too!), works for a mental health charity, loves board games and dragons and a nice chat in the kitchen.
- Dela (she/her), 29, Canadian-Ghanaian. She is a true renaissance woman who works in theatre (acting, writing, producing, you name it!), and is also learning several languages. She is such a warm person and quickly became a friend!
She currently has the room you will be living in, but will move into mine which is a bit bigger.
YOU
- Who we’re looking for: someone who is queer & neurodivergent-friendly (currently looking to live with queer people or allies only!). Overall this is a relaxed & quiet flatshare. Preferably, you’ll have your own life in London but will be keen to make this your home with occasional hangouts. We’re all very respectful and considerate of each other and mindful of cleanliness & tidiness especially in communal areas! That said, we’re not uptight about it! Oh, and bonus if you're a keen gardener ☀️
Please get in touch to tell us a little bit and yourself, if you have any questions or to arrange a viewing – and either Dela or Amandine will reply.
