Large double bedroom in two-bed flat in Islington
Rent: £1040 per month
Bills: ~£150-180 per month
From: October (potentially a week or so earlier)
Hey there!
My flatmate Leo is sadly moving back to Germany, so am looking for a replacement flatmate.
The Flat:
Kitchen/Living room: There is a good sized kitchen with plenty of storage with dining table and a cozy sofa corner to relax. I am planning to get a projector and maybe record player. The kitchen has everything you’d expect including dishwasher, ceran hob, and comes equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, etc.
The bathroom: is fairly modern, has daylight and with a full bath/shower (and no mould - I know that shouldn’t be a selling point, but feels like it can be in London!).
Garden: is shared with the other 6 flats in the building, which is great for bike storage.
The flat includes access to the loft - which is helpful for storing random stuff. Although there is a really good amount of storage in your future bedroom…
Speaking of, the room is spacious, light and airy, and comes furnished with a big double bed, big mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and built in shelves. I also has a disassembled sit/stand desk that I’m open to a future flatmate making use of, as I so rarely work from home.
About the location:
The flat is less than 2 mins from Holloway Road, less than 5 mins walk to Lidl/Morrisons and Odeon Luxe and Waitrose is just a bit further down the road. Holloway road is also packed with little shops/stalls and markets, so everything one could possibly need is just around the corner. There are also lots of gyms, yoga studios etc etc..
There is a bus stop right outside of the flat, with routes 17, 21, 29, 91, 253, 254, 259 and 393 - many of these are night bus routes. There’s also an e-bike parking area just opposite the flat. It takes 20 mins to get into central by bus or bike. It is less than a 10 min cycle to Highbury Fields and Caledonian Park, then 15 mins to Hampstead Heath and Clissold Park.
The flat is opposite a pub with a garden, which is great for people watching from the dining table!
About the flatmate:
I’m Emma (she/her), 28 and enjoy playing and watching football, charity shopping, swimming in Hampstead Heath ponds and is currently learning French. I also love a Friday night out every now and again - any chance for a dance! I work in climate change at a consultancy in central London, and is in the office basically every day. I’m veggie and cooks quite a bit, and often can be found meal prepping on a Sunday. I love a kitchen chat, but also enjoys my own space. Definitely open to making a new bestie, but no pressure! I’m pretty tidy and clean, which is a priority.
About you:
Everyone is welcome and ideally we have some things in common and share some opinions, so maybe veggie etc. Basically, it would be nice to have a friendly home with an easy going flat mate :))
Our landlord Kate is pretty hands on and responsive! She would like to meet you in person before you sign onto the contract.
Thank you for reading up until here!
Send a message with some info about yourself, and we’ll really try to answer in a timely manner and hopefully get something in the diary. :))
