A lovely double room in a bright, calm 2-bedroom flatshare in trendy Islington, just off Upper Street, on a quiet, leafy street. The flat overlooks a beautifully landscaped communal garden with mature trees, Georgian rooftops, St Mary’s Church, and iconic city buildings. It is genuinely one of those rare London views.

You would be sharing the flat with me (live-in landlady), a professional woman in my late 40s, and my 5-year-old son. The layout works well for privacy, both bedrooms are accessed via a separate corridor. I’m friendly and happy to chat, but the flat is peaceful and not a party house.

The flat is on the 3rd (top) floor with its own staircase. South-facing windows bring in plenty of sunlight. It has two bedrooms, a cosy, well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious bathroom with two windows. There is no living room.

The room is a well-proportioned double, stylish, very clean, airy, and exceptionally practical. It includes a comfortable double bed, a built-in wardrobe running the full length of one wall (excellent storage), a bookcase, and a designer armchair.

Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. Premium Canonbury side of Upper Street, in the “golden triangle”, tucked behind Cross Street. 2 minutes to Upper Street and Essex Road. Around 10 minutes’ walk to Angel (Northern line) and Highbury & Islington (Victoria line and Overground). Easy access to Shoreditch, Hoxton, Regent’s Canal, Broadway Market, and Old Street. Quick bus ride to the City, and King’s Cross is close too. You’re surrounded by great pubs, restaurants, cafés, shops, and organic stores, all within easy walking distance.
