We have a double room available in a great old house on the edge of Barnsbury/ Highbury & Islington

The flat is a rare gem of good value in Islington. It is split over the top 2 floors of a large terraced house on a quiet tree-lined street. It has a large living/dining room, kitchen and shared bathroom. Upstairs we have a roof garden, which is great in the summer as it gets the sun all day long. We also have an open fireplace in the lounge, which is cosy in winter.

It's a lovely area to live in, with plenty of green space right on the doorstep (Highbury Fields, Arundel Square, Paradise Park, St Mary Magdalene Gardens). We have great transport links - it's 5 minutes walk to Highbury and Islington station (Victoria Line, Overground, National Rail) and 10 minutes to Caledonian Road (Piccadilly). The 153 bus runs at the end of the road from Finsbury Park past the Barbican to Liverpool St. Whatever you're looking for can be found close at hand as we're situated between Holloway Rd, Caledonian Rd, and all the bars and restaurants on Upper Street.

It's a good south facing room with everything you need: double bed, desk, wardrobe, bedside table. It's available immediately from 1st December 2026. Ideally we are looking for someone who would like to make this a long-term home, but really want someone to commit to at least 12 months.

We're looking to show people between now and the 16th Oct, late afternoon/early evening preferred. We can be flexible, do please reach out and we'll try to figure something out!

The current housemates are Rob, (38, UK) and Greg (37, USA, UK). We are both currently hybrid working and are hoping to find someone similar(ish) age, used to housesharing, professional and easygoing.

There is no agency involved and no deposit required. Landlords will want to see your right to live in the UK, and proof of employment/finances.

Monthly bills (Council tax, Internet and Electric) are around £130. Gas is paid quarterly (variable).
