Hello! This is Idil, Lucy, Tom and Jacob. We are looking for a housemate to replace me as I am moving to Cambridge for my PhD, for our peaceful, quiet and bright home in the very safe and residential Kennington area near the Imperial War Museum.

My room is one of the upstairs rooms that looks at the garden we have at the back. The room has a little fireplace, gets amazing morning light and even the squirrels running around and is spacious enough to fit a double bed, but I currently have a single bed to create more space to do yoga. It will come with a jade green wooden furniture set, and I can also leave my bed for a small price if you'd like that too.

House is an old Georgian house, with a private garden at the back. There are three floors in total with a quite large living room (+dinner area), kitchen, bathroom and 4 rooms in total. The bathroom is quite spacious with both a shower and bath. The floors of all rooms have cotton-based carpet, which was fitted in the last summer.

The neighborhood is surprisingly very quiet and residential, very family oriented, safe and as an unexpected gem in such a central location.

We are around 15 minutes walking distance to Waterloo Station, about 7-10 minutes from Lambeth North, and around 10 minutes from Elephant and Castle station, and walking distance to key areas like London Eye, Westminster and Covent Garden/Soho area, so extremely well connected and central.

For the house vibes, we are all working professionals that are friends/friends of friends, with a very respectful, open and kind house environment.

For the logistics and bills, the room is going to be 900 ppm, the gas & electricity are £43.33, the council tax is around £73 per month. Plus an extra water bill payment once every 6 months, which we split 4 ways.

The new contract starts in September, and I am hoping to leave the room by then to transition to Cambridge. Ideally we want to solidify the candidate so they can go through the standard paperwork with our landlord, which is the Walcot Foundation. They are super friendly and very on point with keeping up with house renovations/repairs.

We look forward to hearing from you!
