Double room with desk in a modern block. Would be great for a professional working in the city or Westminster, might be a squeeze for a couple, but could work! Views of Parliament from your room and the balcony off the living room.
Most of the furniture is included, but the bookshelves belong to my current flatmate - she's happy to sell them on if you want to keep them there.
Private bathroom (I've got an ensuite, so you have sole use of the "shared" bathroom) with a shower over a bath.
Modern kitchen, with a dishwasher and a washing machine/dryer. Plenty of storage, a decent sized fridge/freezer, a good cooker and oven, and a microwave.
Super high speed Internet with Hyperoptic built into the building. We're currently getting 500mbps but it can be up to a gigabit if we want to upgrade.
4th floor, with a lift, with a key fob for entry into the building. The block has a concierge in a separate building who's available 8am to 7pm for general maintenance and receiving parcels. The flat is also on a heat network so we get free hot water (which includes heating) - we only pay for electricity.
My flatmate and I have been living together for the past 5 years, and in this flat for the past 2. She is moving out because she's moving abroad and I'd absolutely love to hang on to it if I can! I really enjoy living here, it's super convenient for everything, in a super vibrant area, but the flat is lovely retreat from it all. I'm happy to negotiate rent share if you're cool and the rent would be a bit of a stretch for you, so give me a shout anyway.
The entire flat will be professionally cleaned before you move in.
-=Local Area=-
Big Tesco within 10 minutes walk, and a Tesco Express under a minute from the front door.
Bunch of good pubs at Kennington Cross, walking distance from the Southbank, and super quick to get into Clapham or Brixton.
-=Travel Links=-
Super close (~5 mins) to Kennington station (Zone 1+2 Northern line, both branches).
Close (~10 mins) to Lambeth North (Zone 1 Bakerloo line) and Vauxhall (Zone 1+2 Victoria line, trains, buses)
A bunch of buses run up and down Kennington Road
Walking distance (~25 mins) to Westminster or Waterloo
Great bike lanes around the area.
-=Referencing=-
Subject to referencing with our current agency. From our understanding we'd sign a new contract for the flat, rather than just swapping out the flatmate who's leaving.
-=About me=-
I'm a software engineer, and I work from home 3 days of the week. I'm generally pretty quiet, but I'm a big fan of board and roleplaying games, so I run a D&D game in the flat on a Wednesday (which you're welcome to join if that's your bag). You'd also be welcome to borrow whatever games you want!
I'm at the theatre a lot, weekly if I am able, and I love watching films at the cinema.
My girlfriend lives in Belgium so I'm there for a week a month on average, and she's here for a similar time.
