Hi! We're Nick and Chris, two friendly professionals in our mid 30s looking for a third flatmate to join our home.
The room
Available from 21 September is a large double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. It occupies the entire top floor of the apartment, containing plenty of space that will allow you to create your own private living area.
The room's large, skylight-style windows mean it is full of natural light throughout the day - when open, they ensure a nice breeze keeps the room cool during those warm summer days; when shut, they insulate the room well, making it the warmest part of the flat throughout the winter.
The flat
Our home is located a mere five minutes’ walk from Kensal Green station (where the Bakerloo Line will take you to Oxford Circus in 20 minutes and the Lioness Line to Euston in less than 15) and eight minutes walk from Kensal Rise (Mildmay Line to Clapham Junction, Richmond, Camden, and many more). The area is also served 24/7 by bus services which will quickly get you into (and back from) central London should you need them.
At the corner of two quiet streets, the flat is only a few minutes walk from the cafes, pubs and restaurants of Chamberlayne Road (including Pizzeria Sacro Cuore, a personal favourite of the current occupant of your future room). And just a few minutes down the road is Queen’s Park for lots of greenery and more cafes, pubs and restaurants.
The flatmates
Nick is a press officer and former journalist, while Chris is a comic book illustrator, whose first book came out this summer. We've lived together for a few years now, alongside Marco, our friend who's moving out into his own place.
We both work full-time, while Chris works from home and Nick alternates between home and the office. During the week, you'll usually find us cooking dinner, watching a film or TV series (current recommendation: Widow's Bay on Apple TV), reading or catching up over a coffee or a beer. We enjoy being social and are always up for a chat, but we also respect each other's space and appreciate a good balance between social time and downtime.
Who we’re looking for
We're looking for someone who is clean, considerate and easy to live with. We like to keep shared spaces tidy, communicate openly and make sure everyone feels at home. It's not a party flat, but we do enjoy the occasional dinner with friends or a relaxed weekend hangout.
If you're looking for a friendly, respectful home rather than just somewhere to sleep, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us a little about yourself, what you do and what you're looking for in a flatshare!
