Looking for a professional (no students, sorry!) to take over my room permanently from 17th of August in a lovely clean and quiet mews house in Kentish Town north.
The room: Furnished double room that comes with a bed, mattress, and built-in wardrobe, and is big enough to fit a desk and some other furniture. The room is on the ground floor of the house and stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter (underfloor heating!). It has double glazed doors that open out to a private courtyard that is shared with the other room on the ground floor of the house.
The house: The house is on a private gated mews off a quiet residential street and is only accessible by the residents of the 5 houses that share the mews. The house has three floors. The ground floor has two double rooms (one would be yours!), a nice bathroom with separate shower and bathtub, and a laundry/storage closet with a washer and tumble dryer. The first floor has a large, fully stocked kitchen (with a dishwasher!) and separate good-sized lounge/dining area. The third bedroom with ensuite and separate access to the shared roof terrace is on the second floor.
Housemates: Two friendly, open-minded, clean, and respectful professionals. Neil (39) has the top floor bedroom and works for the London Fire Brigade, so is often out with changing work hours and not around too much. Phoebe (29) has the second ground floor bedroom and works partly from home and in retail. We like to keep the home clean and respect each other’s space and, although we’re not much of a party house, we love having friends over for drinks/dinner and a chat, so looking for someone who is after a similar vibe!
Location: A nice quiet residential area in Kentish Town north, about 10 min walk from Kentish Town station and high street on one side and Camden Road on the other. There are some great local pubs, bakeries, and parks within walking distance.
Rent: £990/month
Bills: Approximately £160/month in total for council tax, wifi, gas & electric, water
Deposit: £1000 due when signing the contract and to be paid back when you end your tenancy
If you’re interested, drop me a message with a little bit about you (age, profession, what you’re looking for) and we’ll take it from there! We are hoping to do viewings in the first few weeks of July. Any prospective tenant will have to complete an application form that will be sent to the landlord for basic background check (right to rent, proof of employment/income, etc.).
