A bright and spacious double room in a modern 2 bedroom apartment in Leyton. The room comes furnished with a double bed frame (mattress available for purchase from departing housemate), drawers and has a built in wardrobe. It has a balcony as well as an en suite bathroom with shower.

The apartment has a large open plan living room and kitchen with a dining area and mercifully features a dishwasher. It's on the 3rd floor and has brilliant views back into the city. The apartment block benefits from a central concierge service and has multiple bike storage rooms in the basement car park.

It is located around 8 mins walk from Leyton station for access to the Central Line which gets you to Liverpool Street and Bank in around 15-20 mins and makes it ideal for a professional working centrally. It is also 5 mins walk from regular bus services to Walthamstow or Stratford on Leyton High Street. There are lots of nice pubs and cafes in the area and it's only a 10 minute walk to both the Olympic Park and Hackney Marshes.

You'd be sharing the apartment with me, Stuart, a 42 year old Scottish accountant. I work for an arts organisation which I hope makes the profession seem slightly less dull and does occasionally give me access to free tickets for cultural events which might sweeten the deal. I tend to work in the office around 4 days a week.

I'm easy going and friendly and love going out to gigs and spending time with friends so have a fairly active social life. I play in a samba style drum band for a hobby but you'll be pleased to know I have no drums in the flat. I'm looking for someone friendly and independent but who is open to socialising together sometimes and sharing the occasional night in front of the telly or listening to music. I've lived with a friend here for the last 3 years and we've had a relaxed, open and tidy environment and I'd love to keep that going.

The flat is available from the 16th of August but earlier entry can be discussed as my current flatmate is flexible with dates.
