Sadly my flatmate and I are moving out of our flat in Limehouse. He moved back to Scotland and I am moving abroad. The whole flat is available from 5 December 2020 for £1,500 per month. One bedroom is available immediately but only if the whole flat is taken after.

It is a 2-bedroom cosy second-floor flat, with one bathroom and a spacious kitchen and living room. Out of the two bedrooms, one is slightly bigger than the other. The flat has a long corridor that leads to the kitchen and a boiler room with extra storage space next to the entrance.

The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you need. It has an electric oven, a dishwasher and a washing machine with a dryer which was recently changed. The living room is furnished with a couch, armchair and a bookshelf and dining table. The rest of the furniture belongs to us but we’re happy to leave it for you at a discounted price or sell it before when we leave. Up to you.

Each bedroom is furnished with a bed, a wardrobe and a small drawer. We both have bigger drawers in each room and again, we’re happy to leave it behind for a discounted price. We’ve bought everything from Ikea less than a year ago. The bathroom has both a bath and a shower.

The whole flat is up for rent through Keatons. A contract needs to be signed and Keatons do a background check beforehand (which is about £25 I think). The deposit is about £750 and is protected with a deposit protection scheme. The landlord is very nice, he owns the whole building and we’ve never had any issues with him. They are on top of changes and repairs.

The flat is very well positioned and 5 minutes from Westferry DLR or 10 minutes from Mile End so perfect for getting to Central. I cycle and there’s a superhighway that gets me to Westminster in 30 minutes. The area is very quiet and residential. You have Bartlett Park (1 minute away) and Mile End Park (5 minutes away) if you want to go out to get some air or exercise in lockdown.

The flat is close to Canary Wharf, Mile End and Stratford so there are plenty of places to eat out. If you’re a fan of parks you have Victoria Park (15 min away), Mudchute Park (15 min away) or Greenwich Park if you want to venture south of the Thames. Great places to eat in Greenwich.

Local shops are: Lidl and a small Tesco (5 minutes away), Waitrose (about 15) and a Tesco Superstore (about 15 min away), ASDA superstore (about 30 min).
The flat is £1,500 per month. To that, you add about £70 every month for electricity, £142 for council tax, internet £27 and water every few months. Having lived in shared accommodation with many people before, the comfort of having your own home is worth every penny.

The building has a lift and the flat is accessible for wheelchair users.
