Hello!
My name is Becky and I live in a beautiful spacious property in Limehouse. I’ve lived here for 5 years now & sadly about to lose both my current roomies! One of my housemates is moving back to Scotland, and the other has bought a house! There will be two rooms available, one huge double room (we’ll call this bedroom 2), and another smaller sunny room on the top floor in this beautiful 3 bed Victorian house (bedroom 1).
I work in the wine/hospitality industry, currently managing a bustling wine bar along the Southbank.
We have always been a very sociable house whilst also have our own lives, so looking for someone likeminded to join the home. We are looking for a housemate(s) that will treat it as their home too. We are very easy going, clean, house plants fans who love wine/dinners/BBQs and bringing out the disco ball for birthdays.
The property has lots of space please see floor plan.
• 3 reception rooms - a lounge, a study and a dining room.
• There is a beautiful south facing gravel garden with a pond and a cool conservatory. The garden opens out on to another small shared community garden, with grass perfect for sunbathing, or outdoor games.
The house is also surrounded by green parks.
• There's a well equipped kitchen (every utensil you could think of!) dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine etc.
• A large and bright bathroom - with a gorgeous bath and a big rain fall power shower.
We also have a huge loft space if you need storage space.
The rooms available:
Bedroom 1: A cute sunny, south facing room on the top floor of the house. New carpet laid this year. Double glazed window. Overlooking the rooftops of east London with a view out towards Canary Wharf. Easily fits a double bed & also includes a large BIR just outside the bedroom on the landing. Rent: £1046 = £965+£81 (monthly set bills)
Bedroom 2: It is a large & spacious room on the 1st floor. It features the original Victorian floorboards. It has two large sash windows looking out onto the street, disused chimney & fireplace. Rent: £1066 = £985+£81 (monthly set bills)
Bills included with rent: Wifi (£22), Council Tax (£204) & TV License (£15) - divided by 3 equally (£81 each).
Additional monthly bills: organised separately due to fluctuations - these are estimates based on past trends - Thames Water (£173) & E. On Energy (£100 in summer, up to £200 in winter) - divided by 3 equally.
Limehouse is a really cool area to live in. It's close to the river & also the canal - which runs up through east London. Theres a super cool city farm at the end of the road, which has a local cafe and restaurant and a little farmers market at the weekend. So many pubs nearby to choose from. It’s got a community feel sort of vibe - but also near enough for fun nights out. There's a Tescos Extra, Asda, Sainsbury’s & a Pure Gym within minutes. With Limehouse DLR station just at the end of the street, you can be at Canary Wharf in minutes for all sorts of restaurants, supermarkets and shops.
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
