Available NOW – spacious room in a beautiful 100m² new-build flat in Haggerston

This is an unusually quiet and private flatshare. You will officially be sharing with two other people, but both are away very frequently. The flatmate you share the bathroom with (myself!) is only in London for around one week per month cos I live in France. I am an academic working on gender issues in Sub-Saharan Africa. The other flatmate Ale, is a Spanish rock musician who is regularly away on tour. As a result, you will often have the flat entirely to yourself or share it with just one person. The rent reflects this level of space and privacy, which is quite different from a typical three-person London flatshare.

When I am away, I am also happy for your visiting friends or family to use my bedroom occasionally, by prior agreement, which makes it easy to host guests comfortably.

The room is fully furnished and has a queen-size bed with a brand-new mattress. It opens directly onto a private patio filled with tropical plants.

The flat is bright, spacious and airy, with a large bay window, private entrance and secure bike storage. It is fully equipped with everything you need, including kitchenware, washing machine and fast Wi-Fi.

The flat is on a quiet street leading directly to Regent’s Canal, with easy access to cafés, green spaces and cycle paths. It is also very convenient for cycling into both central and east London.

📍 Haggerston Station is just a short walk away, with excellent connections to Shoreditch, Dalston and beyond.

💸 All bills are included: water, heating and hot water, electricity, council tax and broadband. The only additional cost is the cleaner, who comes every two weeks. Cleaning costs £72 per month and is divided between the three flatmates, so approximately £24 each per month.

We are looking for a tidy, respectful and considerate flatmate, ideally aged 35+, who enjoys a calm and friendly home and is happy to keep shared spaces clean. We would love someone who enjoys plants and the garden, cares about the environment, and shares progressive, left-leaning values. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly and feminist household, and social justice, equality and environmental issues are important to us.

🚭 The flat is non-smoking, although smoking is fine outside on the patio.
