I’m looking for a considerate and exceptionally tidy lodger to share my brand-new two-bedroom flat in a peaceful, leafy location between Crouch End and Highgate from 12th October 2026.
I have put a great deal of care into the flat and recently worked with an interior designer to create a home that feels calm, stylish and comfortable. It would particularly suit someone who appreciates living in a clean, uncluttered and well-maintained space.
🏡 The Flat
The flat has a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with two huge windows, one of which is southwest-facing. It receives beautiful natural light throughout the afternoon and evening, with green, leafy views and access to a large private terrace.
The kitchen is fully equipped with high-quality cookware, utensils and appliances, including a dishwasher. There is also a separate laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and dehumidifier, so laundry can be dried quickly in the laundry toom without taking over the shared living space.
The flat benefits from a filtered mechanical ventilation system that continually refreshes the air, helping it remain fresh and well ventilated without needing to keep the windows open. It also incorporates passive-cooling features, which have helped it remain noticeably cooler and more comfortable during recent heatwaves.
There are a few useful smart-home features, including Alexa, a robot vacuum that keeps on top of the floors day to day, and a Samsung Frame television above one of the sofa, which displays artwork when not in use.
Secure cycle storage is also available within the building.
🛌 The Bedroom
The bedroom is calm, quiet and bright, with two windows and plenty of natural light.
It is furnished with the following:
-Small double bed with an Emma Original Hybrid mattress
-Bedside table
-Bedside lamp
-A very large wardrobe
-Desk suitable for working from home
-Desk lamp
-Desk chair
-Full-length mirror
-Fan
-Plant
-Floor lamp
As the entire flat is newly built, everything feels fresh, modern and in excellent condition.
📍The Location
One of the best things about the flat is its exceptionally green and attractive setting. It is right beside Parkland Walk, a peaceful, leafy walking and cycling route that follows the course of a former railway line between Finsbury Park and Highgate. It is ideal for walks, running, cycling or simply getting away from busy roads without leaving the neighbourhood.
The flat is also very close to beautiful parks and green spaces, and the surrounding area is particularly leafy and pleasant. There are numerous lovely walks directly from the building, whether towards Crouch End, Highgate or along Parkland Walk.
Despite the peaceful setting, the flat is well connected. Finsbury Park and Archway stations are around 10 minutes, and Oxford Circus is approximately 35 minutes away door to door or 25 minutes away by bike.
Crouch End and Highgate are both nearby, offering plenty of independent cafés, restaurants, shops and attractive places to explore.
The building itself has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The neighbours are sociable, there is an active residents’ group chat, and it already feels like a small community.
🙋♂️ About me
I am friendly and sociable person. I enjoy fitness, drink relatively little and lead a fairly calm lifestyle. I enjoy sharing a home with someone and am happy to chat or spend time together occasionally, while also respecting each other’s privacy, routines and personal space.
I’m gay and very comfortable living with someone of any sexual orientation — the main thing is that we are compatible as housemates.
👌 About the household
This is a peaceful home rather than a party flat. I am therefore looking for someone who is similarly quiet, considerate and not heavily into drinking or partying.
Cleanliness is extremely important to me, and I am looking for someone who genuinely appreciates living in a very clean and tidy home. I will take responsibility for regularly cleaning the flat, so there is no cleaning rota and the lodger will not be expected to clean the whole property. I simply ask that they naturally clean up after themselves, leave the kitchen and bathroom tidy after use, put things back where they belong and treat the flat with care.
Occasional guests are welcome, although I would appreciate advance notice for evening or overnight visitors.
This would particularly suit a professional looking for a high-quality, peaceful and friendly home rather than a busy or chaotic house share.
Please send a message with a little information about yourself, including your work, usual routine, working-from-home arrangements, preferred move-in date and what you are looking for in a home.
