An older lady is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking shopping, cooking and sharing some meals (doing some cooking and meal prep together) up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, help with laundry, accompanying on the odd outing, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a lovely bright single bedroom with ample storage space and en-suite shower room. There is space for a desk if someone was working from home. There is a bright shared kitchen and sitting room, and lovely garden.

The property is conveniently located in a lovely part of Highgate, very close to the open spaces of Parliament Hill and Hampstead Heath. There are many bus routes. Kentish Town underground is approx. 15 min bus ride away, and Archway is a 15-minute walk.

A retired teacher, the lady enjoys watching documentaries (wildlife, history), reading novels, reading The Guardian, doing crosswords, listening to music (jazz, classical, country) and jigsaw puzzles. She loves animals. Please note that two of her daughter’s dogs come to visit, so a dog-lover is preferred. She enjoys a variety of food, including salads, soups, fish, vegetables, stir fries; Mediterranean, English and Asian (not spicy).

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
