I have a spacious split-level flat arranged over the first and second floors in Highbury/Islington, and I’m looking to welcome someone who needs a comfortable place to call home on a short-term basis — perhaps while working on a temporary contract or placement, studying, relocating to London or making longer-term plans.
About the home
I’m a 37-year-old female professional from the UK. I’m friendly, welcoming and easy-going, and really value having a peaceful, comfortable and respectful home.
I also share the flat with my lovely female cat. She’s friendly, house-trained and enjoys being petted, so you’ll need to be comfortable living with a cat.
I work from home around 4–5 days a week and often use the communal areas during my working day. For this reason, I will be prioritising someone who is normally out during the daytime, whether for work, university, a placement or other regular commitments.
I’m looking for someone who is:
* Clean, tidy and naturally considerate of shared spaces
* A team player when it comes to cleaning and general household tasks, and happy to share responsibility for keeping the home pleasant
* Quiet and respectful, particularly during the evenings and at night
* Friendly, trustworthy and a good communicator
* Independent and considerate of the person they share their home with
* Comfortable living with a friendly cat
* Someone who generally prefers to meet and socialise with friends outside the home.
This isn’t a party home, It’s very much my home, and I’m looking for someone whose lifestyle may complement mine and who would appreciate having a peaceful, clean and comfortable place to come home to.
I am based in the lovely area of Highbury/Islington
The flat is very conveniently located close to St Mary Magdalene Church in Highbury, with excellent transport connections for getting around London.
Highbury & Islington station is just a short walk away, providing Victoria line, London Overground and rail connections. There are also numerous bus routes nearby, making the location particularly convenient for commuting into Central London and travelling across North, East and West London.
You’ll also be within easy reach of Upper Street, with its huge choice of restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and everyday amenities, while still being able to come home to a more residential neighbourhood.
There are plenty of green spaces and pleasant areas to walk nearby too, so the location offers a lovely balance between excellent transport links, local amenities and neighbourhood living.
It’s a particularly convenient base for someone who wants easy access to Central London without feeling as though they are living right in the middle of the West End.
Short-term lets only considered.
The room would particularly suit someone looking for a temporary home while on a work contract, university placement, internship, course or while relocating.
If this sounds like a good fit, please send me a little information about yourself, including:
* What brings you to London/the area
* What you do for work or study
* Your usual weekday schedule
* How long you’re hoping to stay
I’m looking for the right fit for the home rather than simply filling the room, so it would be lovely to hear a little about you when you get in touch.
