Hi! I’m Jakub, a PhD student at Imperial, and I’m looking for one person to replace my current flatmate in our modern two-bedroom flat in Merchants House, Greenwich.
There are two bedrooms in the flat, and I am currently advertising the smaller one, although I would be happy to discuss the room arrangement depending on our preferences. The advertised room is furnished and can be seen in the pictures.
The flat has a spacious open-plan kitchen and living room, a balcony, two bathrooms, and a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, oven and integrated fridge-freezer.
The flat is well located for Greenwich town centre and local transport links, while the development itself is relatively quiet. The river is very close by, and the flat stays comfortable in both summer and winter.
There are several convenient ways to travel into the City: the DLR from Cutty Sark, Thameslink from Maze Hill, or the Jubilee line from North Greenwich. You can also cycle to the City using a well-maintained cycle route that runs from Greenwich to London Bridge.
There is a large Waitrose nearby, as well as M&S and several smaller Tesco Express, Co-op and Sainsbury’s stores just around the corner.
A little about me: I work in computational biology and split my time between university and contracting for startups. I’m friendly and enjoy occasionally chatting, but I also value having a calm home, respecting each other’s privacy, and having a place where we can relax after a hard day at work. This is not intended to be a party flat.
I’m ideally looking for one professional or student who is friendly, considerate and reasonably tidy. Good communication and being comfortable discussing practical household matters are important to me.
If you work or study in research, startups or tech, I think we would probably get along particularly well, although this is by no means essential.
This would be an official change of occupancy through JLL rather than an informal sublet. The incoming tenant will need to complete JLL’s referencing and right-to-rent checks and receive the landlords’ approval.
When messaging, please include a little about yourself, what you do, your typical working or WFH pattern, and what you are looking for in a flatshare.
Happy to arrange an initial video call followed by a viewing if it seems like a good fit!
