Bright En-Suite Room | UNCLE Deptford

We’re looking for a friendly, considerate woman to take over our friend’s lovely en-suite room, as she moves out to start her next chapter in life.

The room is the first door when you enter the house (furthest away from the living room), giving it a nice bit of privacy. It only comes with the bed (inc. mattress) and built in infrastructures - anything on the walls will be removed and fixed/painted. You’ll also have access to our balcony, which has gorgeous London skyline views (it’s especially lovely for watching the fireworks on New Year’s Eve)!

About us

We’re two friends who met at university and have been friends for around 10 years. We’re both working professionals in the public sector and would describe ourselves as chilled, friendly and introverted extroverts. We enjoy cooking, reading on the balcony, fitness, music, watching films and playing video games, but also appreciate having our own space and doing our own thing.

We have a cleaning rota for the communal spaces, which we rotate weekly, so everyone does their bit to keep the house nice and tidy.

We sometimes have friends or family over, but for bigger gatherings we tend to use the communal hosting room in the building, as it’s really convenient. Whenever we have people round at home, we’re considerate and give each other a heads-up.

About the building & location

We live in Uncle Deptford, which has some really great facilities, including:

• A communal hosting room with board games, a TV, record player and kitchen which is great for having friends over, hosting parties or getting out of the apartment
• A co-working space with meeting rooms, ideal for hybrid or home workers, with air conditioning and heating depending on the season
• An honesty market near the co-working/hosting area for quick snacks and essentials
• A built-in Asda in the building, which is super handy and helps save money on takeaways!
• A parcel room, so you don’t have to worry about missing deliveries
• A private outdoor courtyard, which is a nice spot to relax

We’re also opposite Deptford Park, which is lovely in the summer for picnics and relaxing outdoors. We’re close to Surrey Quays, Canada Water and Deptford stations, as well as having good bus/night bus routes making it easy and cheaper to get around London.
